Looks like NGP gonna be very expensive. $400 minimum.

$299 was the last rumor

Rumor?

I wouldn't even call that a rumor, based on Gamespot or whatsoever.

But a Sony man saying things like mentioned here (we can't sell NGP at the same price) is a rumor, imo.

I bet 349$ at least.

Yeah I dont like the look of this, the way he sayed what he sayed leads me to believe that the price of the ngp will be a bit higher than wed like it to be... please prove me wrong sony.

Since the PSP is still selling well is japan and alot of small developers still can't afford to make HD games

keeping the PSP around is a smart move (don't forget that the NGP can play PSP games through PSN)

I thought that too, or maybe $350.

I am sorry but this is getting on my nerves.

The title should be :

"Sony is currently "Struggling to meet demand in Japan" for the PSP.

It's true. The PSP is sold out everywhere in my region.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

If Sony would have told these PSP sold out news late 2010, after the huge Japan sell through, it would be something else.

But bringing this news now, after the NGP announcement and the commenting on price issue, i can't see the NGP near 299$.

And "smart move" because they don't want to kill the PSP, is a bit naive, imho.

Sony can tell what they want to, but after 3DS and NGP release, who should want to buy PSPs anymore?

Nearly no one, if you ask me.

Well they just aren't selling them in the West, it is still doing well in Japan, but I want my NGP now!
