i am curious because i was watching angry joe play dance masters. Other than being very funny to watch it seems that the kinect doesn't work so well.

So now being 3 months down the road an many of you 360 fans who rushed out to buy the device can you be honest and tell if the thing works. We all know that not long after wii release we discovered that it hardly worked until motion plus.

So anyone want to answer that? i am curious to know some opionions of gamers

Really fun. Honestly never played Dance Masters, I own Kinect Sports <- Single player at least is great fun- my dad sucks at ping pong though haha, Adventures <- imo boring as bat shit, Kinectimals <- Surprisingly fun, Your Shape: Fitness Evolved <- Best idea would be to get the add ons :), Dance Central <- Lots of fun, like a lot, menu kinda sucks though.

Do want to get joy ride after playing the demo today. Seems more fun at work then it does on my machine... the XBLA demo must be shit compared to the Kinect Adventures one.

From what I played, it's got lag and some games cover it up better than others, but it's always there.  And the space requirement is an issue.  Honwever it works, but as others have said it's about the software and there isn't much good to choose from, basically Dance Central if you ask me, and in Feb/March there's still nothing coming so at least two months you have to wait... personal opinion, it works, but unless you want an expensive DDR pad for Dance Central... pass until something good comes along.

I played all the important titles (sports and adventure) but Dance Central, so I had much more negative experience than you, but pretty much your post sums up my opinions.

Kinect works fine.

The software made for it not... or at least the majority not... new releases could change that.

Even if you told me you had played Kinect, noone would believe you. Go play the SW and tell us that, you'll change your mind.

I played and liked just one game... Dance  Central... I didn't like Kinect Adventure... Kinect Sports isn't so good... and read the reviews of other games (not good too).

So which game do you recommend??? I expect a better experience with Child of Eden, Star Wars Kinect and Dance Central 2.

Edit - That not only with the Kinect... Move lacks good software too.

I don't care if you like them or not, the thread is about how the games PLAY and they play well.

Must you try and ruin most Kinect threads?

Chillax man, I don't see why you are getting so offended by his post. We know you love Kinect and you will defend its reputation with your life. Besides, like he said, some games work better than others on both Kinect AND Move. My sports champions works like a dream but cabela's dangerous hunts 2011 tends to be a bit buggy here and there. I played dance central and loved it. I would assume other dance game on it do not work as well, seeing as how dance central is the most popular for now.

OT: Kinect works well but it lacks the software to really show it's potential. Same goes for move. With Move Heroes and killzone 3, I hope move will reach new heights. I also hope Kinect gets some good titles soons.

Oh I agree that I hated Adventures and I felt Sports was lacking in many ways.  Plus the need for space and lag bothered me a lot, but like I said some titles mask the lag better.

At least on Adventures, the stepping forward/back keeps wonking out, and I'm not sure just how Dance Central works, but other than that, yes.

I can only vouch for what I own.

Kinect Adventures has some noticable lag, but not enough to make gameplay difficult or tedious. Still a great, fun game to demonstrate Kinect. My mom (who hasn't played a video game since I was maybe 10) really liked the dodgeball game.

Dance Central is fantastic. Much better than any dance game I've played. Going from Dance Central to other stuff like Just Dance or the Michael Jackson game is like downgrading from a PS2 to a PS1....There just isn't a comparison.

The software lineup isn't the greatest, but the technology is there for it to be a killer. I wish they'd extend what Kinect could do...I wish I could control everything on my Xbox with it, as well as my TV. Kinect has so many uses outside of what it does, its crazy.

Mark my words: Within 10 years, Kinect will be seen as ushering in the next wave of motion-based tech. Not just for gaming, but other things (e.g. remote-free TV). Its just too good not to have more applications than what MS is using it for.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
