I can only vouch for what I own.
Kinect Adventures has some noticable lag, but not enough to make gameplay difficult or tedious. Still a great, fun game to demonstrate Kinect. My mom (who hasn't played a video game since I was maybe 10) really liked the dodgeball game.
Dance Central is fantastic. Much better than any dance game I've played. Going from Dance Central to other stuff like Just Dance or the Michael Jackson game is like downgrading from a PS2 to a PS1....There just isn't a comparison.
The software lineup isn't the greatest, but the technology is there for it to be a killer. I wish they'd extend what Kinect could do...I wish I could control everything on my Xbox with it, as well as my TV. Kinect has so many uses outside of what it does, its crazy.
Mark my words: Within 10 years, Kinect will be seen as ushering in the next wave of motion-based tech. Not just for gaming, but other things (e.g. remote-free TV). Its just too good not to have more applications than what MS is using it for.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
