I was with you until God of War. Sure it borrowed some things from previous games, just like every third person shooter after Gears jacked its cover system and every FPS stole Halo's regeneting health. That doesn't make it a "blatant copycat". If God of War wasn't something totally new and amazing it wouldn't have risen above its inspirations to become the unchallenged leader of its genre.

Switch it with Forza Motorsport. Microsoft made that game with a copy of GT3 and a piece of tracing paper.

We can extrapolate that real far, like Sonic looking for rings, yea bouh they copied it and made it more diverse, bla bla bla. I agree with you, don't touch GOW OP... :p

As for GearsOfWar cover system no, GEOW stole it from another game before as far as I remember, (syphon filter but I don't wanna say something wrong), GEOW just made it popular, because basically, it was more successful than the other one it ripped off.

Wouldn't Night Racer have been the first? And genre is not copying of course.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Too many to sum up but the entire gameloft catalogue...

Just what I was thinking, the only games that aren't really copies are their games based of Ubi franchises

1.God Of War and Devil May Cry actually play very different from a gameplay perspective. DMC is a combo game, GOW is not, Bayonetta would have been a better choice.

2.Gears of War did steal its cover system from a little game called Killswitch

and no they didn't add anything to it.

3. about move and kinect copying wii.....

that is all.......

hint *wispers* "this came out WAAAY before the wii"
