Approx. 86.881M shipped end of March 2011 -

I'm juggling between 86.88 and 86.63M actually.

So you reckon we have Wii majorly overtracked?

84.64M 2.1M 86.74M, this is your prediction right?  I think it will be like 200K - 400K over.

Wii will hit around 86.3 mill sold by end of march, having it at 86.63 or even 0.88 means we have it majorly overtracked.

Perhaps Nintendo will surpass their expectations though.

What's the difference between sold and shipped usually? they keep on chaning everytume, I will just add 1M to the sodl numbers to get a rough idea.   I do hope they will hit their porjections mind, maybe even 87M plus if lucky.

Interesting ...

MS shipped 6.3 last Q, and sold 3.5 of that in U.S, the other 2.8 elsewhere

If the weekly rate of sales stays flat in U.S for march, that'd total 1.58 mill 360's sold in U.S Jan/March

Same ratio as Xmas would have it at 1.25 mill elsewhere (roughly) so that's 2.83 mill WW.

If it fell to Jan levels though, it'd be roughly 1.5 mill for US and 1.2 mill elsewhere = 2.7 mill WW.

Of course, buying habbits change in different places at different times, but then also, MS had to get extra stock out.

Should be interesting, perhaps my 2.1 is too low.

i say

ps3-2.8 million

xbox-2.4

wii- 2.4

but i really dont know, but im pretty confident about the sony numbers

Around the Network

Xbox 360: 2.7 million.

Playstation 3: 2.7 million.

Wii: 2.5 million.

Simple math skills and logic says that MS should have definitly shipped more 360s than Sony shipped PS3s.

PS3 inventory at retailers for 3 major regions was in good supply (1.6M distributed globally).  So Sony only had to ship replacement units for units sold at retail. Then throw in the case of Japan.  Shipments into Japan I am certain have effectively stopped with the Earthquake/Tsunami/partial meltdown situation.

360 inventory in NA at least was next to nothing. So 1st ship units just to get NA inventory healthy. Japan MS doesnt need to keep much inventory so nothing measurable.  EMEAA assume end of year inventory was closer to healthy than a shortage.   So in addition to replacement units MS had to ship another 500K or so to NA for inventory.

IF PS3 shipments are higher than some sort of funny business is going on at Sony.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

every quarter is the same,  sony can always overship.

i predict

sony 2.5mil. I think they were expecting to be up this year from last year and so they won't reach their goal.

wii 2.3mil. Sales are dropping put slower then the 360 at least for now.

360 2.2mil. 360 sales seem to be slowing faster than ps3.

This is all assuming no drastic dajustments are made to hardware in q1 so far.

and they will be laughing all the way to the bank.

but really why do people keep saying crap like this, they cant lie about their numbers, and they cant ship more than the retailer wants/orders
