Simple math skills and logic says that MS should have definitly shipped more 360s than Sony shipped PS3s.

PS3 inventory at retailers for 3 major regions was in good supply (1.6M distributed globally).  So Sony only had to ship replacement units for units sold at retail. Then throw in the case of Japan.  Shipments into Japan I am certain have effectively stopped with the Earthquake/Tsunami/partial meltdown situation.

360 inventory in NA at least was next to nothing. So 1st ship units just to get NA inventory healthy. Japan MS doesnt need to keep much inventory so nothing measurable.  EMEAA assume end of year inventory was closer to healthy than a shortage.   So in addition to replacement units MS had to ship another 500K or so to NA for inventory.

IF PS3 shipments are higher than some sort of funny business is going on at Sony.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
