No matter how quality the title is or how well respected the brand is, pirates are pirates. This game will be the most pirated, if not the most then 2nd highest, after the next COD installment. |
Going by last years numbers:
| # | game | downloads | released |
|---|---|---|---|
| torrentfreak.com | |||
| 1 | Call of Duty: Black Ops | (4,270,000) | (Nov. 2010) |
| 2 | Battlefield: Bad Company 2 | (3,960,000) | (Mar. 2010) |
| 3 | Mafia 2 | (3,550,000) | (Aug. 2010) |
| 4 | Mass Effect 2 | (3,240,000) | (Jan. 2010) |
| 5 | Starcraft II | (3,120,000) | (Jul. 2010) |
not unlikely. And BF3 will have a campaign and even co-op, so there is just as much reason to pirate it as BC2. However it comes out a bit later than BC2 last year, so it could be a bit less, though probably still in the top 5.

This isn't CoD we're talking about, this is Battlefield. Battlefield = bigger maps and more tactical gameplay than CoD.
im just glad they therell be full prone
i would also like the dive move from COD BO or even a cover system like in KZ or the chronicles of riddick

Play Me
i just can say that i hate games with so many players. man you can get 30:0 kills and still lose because you are just on out of 32 in your team. i have to say even 8 players in big team battle in halo reach are to much for my taste. 4on4 is so much better because you are the man who let the team win if you have a good round and the team will lose mostly if you suck.
and i love if games get personal because in 4on4 games you fight always against the same and it's so great to kill the same opponent 5 times in a row or if you die few times against the same and then you do everything to kill this ass.

Well, that's an opinion. Personally I find it just good that you don't necessarly win if you rack up tons of kills but completely ignore everything else. You see, it promotes teamwork. When I want some deathmatch etc., I play Quake. When I want teamwork, I play something else (a personal favorite of mine is Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory).
But like I said, it's an opinion. You're definitely not wrong, my opinion just happens to differ from yours, and neither of us is alone with our opinions.

Then prepare to be surprised. Last we heard, the PC version of BFBC2 had more players than both X360 and PS3 versions combined. Now imagine BF3.

Bring it on. 360 will sell more copies than the pc( including digital copies of course)

well if i do buy it, it will be for 360. i dont have the money to buy a gaming rig that can handle this game soooo....
Seriously all this talk about pirates make me sick. (and guilty too LOL)
PC game developers need to find new and effective ways to leverage the war against hackers/pirates more in their favour IMHO.
I don't think adding in new DRMs to screw us all over will be enough.
