XB360 and Kinect domination in America is just insane. Wii is doing well overall, but Wii Fit Plus has been kicked out of American Top 10 again. Nice second week for LBP2. Americans don't really hate GT5, but Sony could try harder to make them love it more. Move shows not big but decent legs in the short-mid term, and does it without heavy bundling. Kinect is just unstoppable and Malstrom -POOF!- disappeared.

Edit: P.S. I was nearly forgetting, nice WW totals adjustments!

Why do you think Kinect will have good legs? It's sales are dropping and frankly I don't see it last more then 6 months before dropping off almost completely

I really don't see how you could come to that conclusion. The only games tracking ahead of it "legwise" are a few 20mil  selling wii/ds games and games that happen to have a week 13 during the holidays. Sales seem to be stabilizing as the drop is getting significantly smaller every week. 350k-250k-210k-190k. I honestly don't see how its current legs can be viewed as anything short of amazing for an hd console game. I would like to see kinect fail miserably and have Microsoft start focusing on games I would enjoy more then kinect games or even release a new console, but that doesn't seem to be the case. O well at least I can focus on the pc and ps3 games coming out this year.

Good start for dead space 2. Hopefully it will sell well because it is a great game.

My point is that the 360 version has been out for over a year.  The PS3 version has been out for 2 weeks and is only selling 15k more???  Even after all of the GotY awards?????

No, this isn't about everybody that wanted to play it already has it on the 360.  If so, then why are 360 sales so close?  No, this is just ....... whatever.

Define "Whatever". Please. It's a Year late port at full price while the 360 version is as cheap as can be. Just to add. GotY Awards don't mean that the game will sell more. See the BioShock example I'm about to show you (Again).

It's doing better than the BioShock port did. It's sold in 2 Weeks what BioShock did in 5 Weeks. It's doing fine.

You did this last Week. It's quite obvious you have a problem with this game being on the PS3 after your little meltdown saying they shouldn't put ME3 on PS3 because of how it did compared to the 360 version last week. Why does it bother you so much?

My problem is not with EA or Bioware for putting it on the PS3. Like I said last week (but is being ignored for some reason), if you check my posting history I have been championed this game for PS3-only owners since the day it was announced.  So why do you keep accusing me of having a problem with this being on the PS3?

What I see is what seems like a overall dismissal of the game because its a series generally tied to the Xbox.  I KNOW it came out a year after and, for some gamers that's a reason to just pass completely.  But when I see this old game still selling well on the 360 and other old games still selling well on the PS3 (I'd hunt down examples but in the end I just don't think it'd be worth the effort...), it bothers me.

I wondered if the same would happen with general Playstation series when they came to the 360 such as DMC and FFXIII (yes, I know they didn't come a year late) selling really well, it was more evidence of something that I thought from the beginning:  there were many former Playstation 2 owners that became 360 owners this gen.  I don't see the same with the general PS3 userbase, unfortunately.  And though it's just an anecdotal sample, there were vocal ones on this site that helped generate an overall negative attitude toward this game when it wasn't on the PS3 and had a hard time letting go of that when it wasn't.

Console allegiances run deep with some.  Make all the excuses you want about the sales of this game, but it has FAR more full price value than Bioshock's 1 year late port due to the DLC and RE4 proved that a 1 year port of a fantastic, GotY quality game can sell big numbers (PS2 and Wii).  I'm not going to pretend I live in a world where fanboys don't exist and mess things up.  Sorry, but this game deserves better.

Everything drops after Xmas. Kinect is dropping less steeply than many other things, and less than average, although its strength is very unbalanced towards USA and UK.

I wonder if the potential issues they will always have with speech recognition in languages other than English may be a barrier to it taking off in other regions to be honest also.  I'm sure it works of course as we've not had loads of articles on the subject but its that one nagging doubt I've always had about such a feature being used as a selling point on a device.

That being said crazy 360 sales this week, even allowing a 10% margin if it was overtracked it's flying still.

I'm accusing you of it because it's quite obvious due to your stupidly high expectations of it and how you think they should abandon the console of part 3 despite all your "championing"... It's a year late port of the 2nd game in a story driven trilogy, on a console that doesn't have the 1st game. What did you expect it to do? Enlighten me.

A dismissal of a series because it's tied to Xbox? Brand don't come into things like this outside of the Internet. I can get you a number of games pretty easily that sold amazingly well on the PS2, yet sold better on 360 than PS3 (Or didn't even appear on PS3).

I don't get why it's so hard to understand. It's getting the sales it deserves. Expecting it to match or even come close to the 360 numbers for the game is pure stupidity. I know it sounds rude... But it's  true. Especially when our own ME2 360 numbers are vastly overtracked, making the ratio even more in favour of the 360 version.

Stop complaining when there is nothing to complain about. It's sold about 150k in 2 Weeks of being on sale. It's a late port. It's the 2nd game in a story driven trilogy. It's priced WAY higher than the 360 version. It's sales are fine.

People are expecting it to come out with something amazing, but nothing in development is coming close to what they want, it has limited appeal and the longer it's out the more it's sales are going to drop

You pretty much ruined your argument with those few words.  Do you honestly think that DMC or FF13 would have sold half of what they sold on 360 if they came out a year late?  I can tell you that they wouldn't.  Especially, like with other year late ports, people with both systems would have bought it for the system it came out on first.  There would be no reason for them to repurchase it for the other system, even if they prefer that system.  So your argument holds no merit, nor does your attempt at labelling the PS3 fanbase as "fanboys" and biased gamers.

Never said I expected it would sell anywhere near as much as the 360 version (why are you so convinced it is overtracked?)  I hoped it would sell around a million or maybe a little over (think there was even a thread about that before).

I acknowledged your Bioshock example, but why not acknowledge the RE4 example?  It is not as if there isn't precedent for what I was hoping for.  And the reality that ME3 is coming day and date, wouldn't that make more want to play this to prep for it?

Also, I think you took my comments about ME3 on PS3 a little too literally.  It was a response to this tepid reception and nothing more.  I got treated like a PS3 fanboy in a recent thread where I was complimenting how GT5 sales helped Sony's NPS to have a better than expected quarter.  Can't win here sometimes.

Anyway, a ton of PS3 owners that haven't played ME2 are really missing something special.  That's how I feel strongly.
