My problem is not with EA or Bioware for putting it on the PS3. Like I said last week (but is being ignored for some reason), if you check my posting history I have been championed this game for PS3-only owners since the day it was announced.  So why do you keep accusing me of having a problem with this being on the PS3?

What I see is what seems like a overall dismissal of the game because its a series generally tied to the Xbox.  I KNOW it came out a year after and, for some gamers that's a reason to just pass completely.  But when I see this old game still selling well on the 360 and other old games still selling well on the PS3 (I'd hunt down examples but in the end I just don't think it'd be worth the effort...), it bothers me.

I wondered if the same would happen with general Playstation series when they came to the 360 such as DMC and FFXIII (yes, I know they didn't come a year late) selling really well, it was more evidence of something that I thought from the beginning:  there were many former Playstation 2 owners that became 360 owners this gen.  I don't see the same with the general PS3 userbase, unfortunately.  And though it's just an anecdotal sample, there were vocal ones on this site that helped generate an overall negative attitude toward this game when it wasn't on the PS3 and had a hard time letting go of that when it wasn't.

Console allegiances run deep with some.  Make all the excuses you want about the sales of this game, but it has FAR more full price value than Bioshock's 1 year late port due to the DLC and RE4 proved that a 1 year port of a fantastic, GotY quality game can sell big numbers (PS2 and Wii).  I'm not going to pretend I live in a world where fanboys don't exist and mess things up.  Sorry, but this game deserves better.

You pretty much ruined your argument with those few words.  Do you honestly think that DMC or FF13 would have sold half of what they sold on 360 if they came out a year late?  I can tell you that they wouldn't.  Especially, like with other year late ports, people with both systems would have bought it for the system it came out on first.  There would be no reason for them to repurchase it for the other system, even if they prefer that system.  So your argument holds no merit, nor does your attempt at labelling the PS3 fanbase as "fanboys" and biased gamers.
