It's kind of a funny...

- 360 had no release and just down 3% week on week.

- PS3 had LBP2 and Mass Effect 2 (ok... that's a late port) and down 5%.

That's the motive for I use the words "overtracked" and "undertracked" everytime.

That is because at this stage with nearly 50 million PS3s sold. Software doesnt push console sales. Particularly a sequel and a title that has been available on the more popular console in the west for a year now.  If you were going to purchase a console for ME2 you purchased a 360.

In the PS3 case LBP2 sold consoles...

EMEAA: PS3 (-4%) ; Others (-15%)
US: PS3 (3%); Others (-5%)

So if LBP not pushed consoles PS3 should have sold just 190k... not 212k.

And why in the name of all things sensible would ME2 (sold like crap) and LBP2 (a sequel to a succesful but not mega succesful title) move hardware?

360 and Kinect are still hot items... live with it or just leave the site for good if you have no respect for it.

This shit is getting really really fucking boring now.

I'm not an 360 fan, but Kowenicki is right. This is really boring.

I agree... that is boring... but just because it's boring/annoying not to be said? Boring or not that is still weird and funny.

Yeah, probably the numbers are not perfectly correct. But now we have these numbers, and so we should discuss about these numbers.

Then you can say what you want, but I think that it's not something to say everytine.

Anybody who complains about the numbers must be 14 years old or had a brain injury. It is impossible to be dead on with this and is it even that important?

I find it strange that bioware's games don't sell that well or wrpgs in general for PS3. Still Mass Effect for 360 didn't sell so great itself which sucks but it  has decent legs. Hopefully word of mouth will bring new players to the game.

Pretty much this. I don't ebelieve the site has ever once claimed to be perfect, just an estimate of the actual numbers

Which, if we're honest, are usually fairly reliable

One thing that I think would help the site is if they started just rounding the numbers. Maybe to the closed 5 or 10,000.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Its not that strange, they're mostly late ports. No amount of free DLC or expansions will make up for having to wait a year or more longer for the game. People are going to either get the game on PC/360 or not bother to get it at all. It doesn't matter a whole lot to me since I have a gaming PC but it must suck if you only have the PS3.

Could do. But then, like this week, all consoles would sell the same. And fanboy wars ensume

which is why i was surprised that people thought ffxiii was going to sell better than average on 360, as we have been told many many times 360 is mainly a second console. The sales weren't ever really going to go through the roof in my opinion.

Exactly, people have said this for years, Bioshock, gimped/late Wii ports, and many other games ported later to the PS3 prove this.  The base you put the game on first is your established base, if you wanted the largest base to begin with, make it on all platforms with equal quality to begin with, otherwise the wind goes out of your sails and you're left with a game that has no excitement behind it and trying to sell it to a base that already wrote it off or think its BS they're being charged full price when it's 20 on other bases.

And in ME2's case, you even have to settle for the sequel to a game that you won't be able to play at all on your PS3. The comic hardly makes up for it imo.
