It's kind of a funny...

- 360 had no release and just down 3% week on week.

- PS3 had LBP2 and Mass Effect 2 (ok... that's a late port) and down 5%.

That's the motive for I use the words "overtracked" and "undertracked" everytime.

And why in the name of all things sensible would ME2 (sold like crap) and LBP2 (a sequel to a succesful but not mega succesful title) move hardware?

360 and Kinect are still hot items... live with it or just leave the site for good if you have no respect for it.

This shit is getting really really fucking boring now.

I'm not an 360 fan, but Kowenicki is right. This is really boring.

Best thing to do is ignore man. I mean you can never say congratulations both consoles, no people have to complain.

Xbox sales will dwindle down in the coming months.  Instead of an expected 50 percent gain I fully expect a 34 percent gain in the US.  This coincides with the seasonal Kinect assited sales team ending in early February.

360 fans still hurting about losing Mass Effect's faux exclusivity I see. =)

I'm pissed at no large expansion...and the game is now dead.  I'm pissed that most of the DLC was utter garbage, when we were promised great stuff.  A million sales to 88K...you do the math.  BTW...how does this ratio compare to FF13, which was delayed onto the 360?

FF13 released the same day on both consoles everywhere but Japan. There, the PS3 version sold 1.5 million compared 8k (yes, 8) on the 360. That's a ratio of over 150:1. I don't see how this helps your argument. =)

Well, as an xbox fan i like than more people can play such an awesome game as its mass effect 2, one of the best (for me the best) of the generation. I am dissapointed with the sales, because the 1 sold 2.5 m and this one is now over that in just 1 year. maybe 3 to 3.5m lifetime in the xbox. As a mass effect fan, i dont like that much than now is multiplatform, i really hope than that dont have a bad effect in the quality of the third game. These awesome games (1 and 2) need the best one to finish the trilogy. If the quality is not afected for being multiplatform, then great (i really have faith in bioware), but if the quality isnt the best because now is multiplatform, then to bad, as i said, as a mass effect fan, prefer exclusive and amazing over multiplatform and good.

I find it strange that bioware's games don't sell that well or wrpgs in general for PS3. Still Mass Effect for 360 didn't sell so great itself which sucks but it  has decent legs. Hopefully word of mouth will bring new players to the game.

Its not that strange, they're mostly late ports. No amount of free DLC or expansions will make up for having to wait a year or more longer for the game. People are going to either get the game on PC/360 or not bother to get it at all. It doesn't matter a whole lot to me since I have a gaming PC but it must suck if you only have the PS3.

Resident Evil 4 Wii says

Mass Effect 2 has won over 45 2010 Game of the Year awards.  It was pretty much sweeped every major Reader's Choice award out there for 2010 GotY.

So how do PS3 owners in the Americas and Europe that weren't able to play before respond to getting a long awaited enhanced version of this modern day classic on their console?

No.  You're not grateful.  Bioware should go full on Soup Nazi on you and just cancel the PS3 version of ME3.  It's just not worth it.

If you work for bioware. Tell them that an old game released initially on a console many may have access to isn't worth $60. I really want to play ME2 on my ps3 but it's hard for me to pay $60 for it when my bro has a 360 and I could get Me1 & 2 for less than that on it...doesn't make sense. I just don't want to start building a library for a console that doesn't belong to me so I will wait for a price drop. I'm actually glad it sold poorly, this way the price drop comes quicker.

This is the closest I've ever seen console sales on VGC, its like a statistical tie between 4 systems...wow.

Grateful? I don't care about Mass Effect on the PS3, in fact; I don't care about Mass Effect at all since I don't like the series (played on PC). I was just trying to explain shortly to people what was going on vis a vis the low ME2 PS3 sales. Let others enjoy ME3 on whatever platform so I can enjoy the hell out of The Witcher 2 in peace!

damn those wii shortages are hurting

To be fair though, it was multiplatform way before nr. 2 released on the PS3.

i know you are talking about pc to,  but, anyway, if it doesnt affect the quality, then great for me and all mass effect fans (on pc/xbox/ps3 now)

Nothing...just that the "best" version of ME2 mangement to sell 88K in it's first week...do you think it will reach 500K LTD?
