No it doesn't. We should start tracking Facebook games too then.

But we can disagree.

You can disagree all you want. Videogames on the iPhone or online or whatever are still Videogames :)

Very true.  But let me ask you this.  Would you expect VGChartz to start tracking Iphone games?*  No matter how much the industry wants it, the Iphone or any other smartphone won't be looked upon as a gaming device like any true portable game.  So I will disagree all I want!

EDIT: *If they could (along with other downloadable games)

that's like 14.8 million ipads in 2010.. very impressive for a piece of technology no one really needs... >_>  ...I have one... >_<"

I don't expect them to at all really. Like you said, if they "could". I don't know if it's actually possible for ioi to do it.

Other DL games would be pretty awesome. Alan Wake got a big DLC boost recently, and there are like 1 Million units missing from out GT5P total due to DLC too.

iPhone/iPad/Etc. are becoming pretty important to developers and the industry in general. A lot of money is made from them.

Tracking DLC would be great in my opinion too.

And I can't really argue that last point either - devs are making lot'sa $ off those devices.

Can I start creating Nokia threads too?

I have another one, and it's the best unneeded piece of hardware I've ever seen.

Sure if they start start selling billions of games. with the emphais is on selling.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

I was going to comment on your comment, but the "So life like" has distracted me from any ability to think clearly.  I think that such an obvious brainwashing tool should not be allowed if you want anyone to really agree or disagree with you...

Macworld has some fantastic charts if you're an infoporn addict like me:

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=123122&page=1&str=1249822351#14

Fun takeaways:

- iOS device breakdown is roughly 90.0 million iPhones, 14.8 million iPads, and 55.2 million iPod Touches.

- In the past 4 years, Mac sales have increased a total of 155%.

- The iPad might celebrate its first anniversary by completely eclipsing Mac revenues.

- In four years, Apple's profits have increased by 500%.

Can't believe that many IPads have been sold.

It's just that simple.
