I don't expect them to at all really. Like you said, if they "could". I don't know if it's actually possible for ioi to do it.

Other DL games would be pretty awesome. Alan Wake got a big DLC boost recently, and there are like 1 Million units missing from out GT5P total due to DLC too.

iPhone/iPad/Etc. are becoming pretty important to developers and the industry in general. A lot of money is made from them.

Tracking DLC would be great in my opinion too.

And I can't really argue that last point either - devs are making lot'sa $ off those devices.
