You guys are on crack. Final Fantasy X is one of the best.

If you started late in the series, I can understand you'd think that.

I have been a fan of Final Fantasy for a very long time. Own, played, and beat every one.

Starting with which one?

Stop trying to impose your opinion as fact.

Final Fantasy X is regarded as the No.1 Final Fantasy in Japan by long term fans fact.

When did I impose my opinion as a fact?  Tell me, where?

Now you getting all upset because some people think differently is indeed showing a sign that you want to impose your view on us. ^_-

And by the way, Final Fantasy XIII was voted "best game of all time" by Famitsu readers, last year.  You're not in 2006 anymore. :D

Somebody if full of himself XD

Nah, you just made it too easy.  You claim the reason why people who don't like FF X is because they somehow can't grasp something that you can.  And you say I'm the one full of himself. ¬_¬

Freudian projection much eh?

What happened to "to each their own" ?

Gotta love Final Fantasy 'fans'. Easily the most jaded fanbase out there. Look at the posts in this thread!

Very fickle fanbase indeed.

holy fuck!!!

YAY!!!!!! I don't even care what it is!!!!!

And to the haters: go cry somewhere else and stop spamming threads for games you supposedly don't like. Right now I'm playing the worlds smallest violin for all of you.

Are you kidding me, i'm extatic, these awful developers now have to clean up their mess. and this means hopefully while Kitase and his team are on this.... then the other production team will be hard at work developing a true FF and a true RPG. i wont be getting FInal Fantasy 13 Modern Warfare 2, but as long as that is in production theres less chance that production team 1 will do FF15.

Here's me hoping Hiroyuki Ito's team is hard at work on FF XV.  ^^,

Director Yoshinori Kitase
Producer Shinji Hashimoto
Designer Hiroyuki Ito
Artists Tetsuya Nomura
Yusuke Naora
Writer Kazushige Nojima

Kitase should NEVER ever again the producer, but the director. the team, as listed above, should lead the XV Staff.

:3

I dont think the 2 teams have worked together since FF7 or FF6, but tbh i dont want any member of production 1 working on FF15, they have their project to work on; FNC, its up to them to salvage that product. and personally i dont want Kitase anywhere near the next FF. i want the 2nd production team to have complete control over the project, unlike FF12's development, and i think they should bring in Yasumi Matusno as the scenario writer or possibily to co-direct with Hiroyuki Ito. if Kitases team are working on FF13-2 theres a greater likelyhood that FF15 will be done by the 2nd production team. so its speculation at the moment, but i'm hoping that FF15 will be a lot more different to FF13.

I hope whoever made the soundtrack of FF13 comes back for FF13-2. The great music only made all the other flaws more apparent to me. My favourite track, hope there's more like these since the game will be set on just Pulse.

To be honest, while I liked the background music for FFXIII, I didn't really hear a soundtrack that stood out.

To be honest, while I liked the background music for FFXIII, as it's very fitting, I didn't really hear a soundtrack that stood out.

The story couldn't connect the soundtrack to the places and cast for the most part, for any soundtrack I think whats important is the placement of the songs that helps them become really memorable (Aerith's team used on Red XIII would sound weird and The Imperial March used on Han Solo would be weird). I wasn't impressed with the soundtrack while playing the game too much but when I listened to it outside the game it sounded much better. Some of the music pieces in the game sound so out of place in the parts where they are its not even funny. This is once again proof of the terrible development process and how disjointed it was, the team had no unified vision or direction and ultimately Toriyama, the directer of the game is to blame, which is why I want him out of the project (that will probably never happen as I hear Toriyama is friends with Kitase and Nomura who will make sure he isn't fired).

While I agree for the most part (especially about Toriyama), there is no soundtrack I'd listen to outside the game, honestly. It just can't really keep my interest.

I wasn't talking about themes, though. I was just talking about the BGM's, like the music that plays during the frozen lake stage (forgot the name). They work well with the environment.

Frozen lake stage means This music from chapter 11?

Or this one from chapter 3?

If you mean the chapter 3 one I actually felt it was out of place, it felt like a ballroom dance theme playing in a frozen lake stage, I guess music is the most subjective thing ever though.

Yep, the chapter 3 one, Lake Bresha.

A ballroom dance theme? Eh, I have to disagree. But like you said, music is the most subjective thing. That, and my tastes are awkward.

I didn't really like Dust to Dust all that much.

same here, because somewhere inside was a bit of a hope to find anything Uematsic (wtf) in there.

but as i said, i could live with the musicians of Nier in XV.

@Kitase:
i think this guy made a big mistake too, but i think since he was a great guy in the past, we should give him another try.

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!
