Around the Network

N4G

I know I won't miss anything by looking at N4G. I don't get involved in the community, though.

Youtube, google, wiki in the order.

google, I do come here quiet often though vs other gaming sides, but if I need to look for more, it's gotta be google.

nowhere really

just follow news day to day from all the posts here and on n4g,joystick,kotaku

i don't think hardcore followers ever miss out anything, most people who go and look on sites like ign on a specific games don't usually follow video games.they just go and check it out when its about to release or everybody is talking about it.

for videos,i go to youtube ign channel.there they have reviews, dailyfix, rewind theater, etc

anything you do,don't make vgchartz like IGN,GAMESPOT,ETC keep the community feeling.those sites feel like they are too big and have alot more to do than have a community

also if you can bring back the old dark look of the site

Around the Network

Either VGChartz or GoNintendo.

Above: still the best game of the year.

VGC is actually my main area for finding out about new games and info about them. Between GamrFeed and  GamrConnect I think we do a great job at getting the info on the games.

My only other gaming news site that I visit is GoNintendo, as they provide much more specific news that VGChartz doesn't really hit... and I suppose Nintendo Power magazine (although that's just once a month, and the info there is much more specified to cater to the magazine's audience.)

And I can't wait until January. Especially excited about GamrConnect 2.0. ^_^

1st would be gamespot

2nd would be ign

3rd would be google and wiki

no offence, but vgchartz/gamrreview sucks. i find the news to have been posted 1st in the forums a day or so before its picked up into an officiald article. plus the articles are often instantly biased towards x360 and anti sony..

for example, press release by sony "we have sold x units" which is automatically translated by vgc as "shipped"

but when ms releases somthing like "we have sold x units" it is taken as "sold"

then there are instances wherein sony releases some sort of positive news but when its picked up by vgc writers there's always an additional opinion that goes  "but...negative negative negative raining on the parade negative"

so, to be taken seriously as a news site, please please please leave all opinions out of news or press releses. if sony says they sold this then just quote them and say what they say dont add a "blah blah blah but but but crap"

edit: double post

gamerReview does not suck. Anyways i mostly use eurogamer for all my gaming news, reviews, previews and in general they have a lot of interesting articles. They also have all the digital foundry articles which i think is great. That being said i get my second opinion on game reviews from vgchartz following eurogamer.

Ive also noticed that when it comes to gaming news vgchartz is quite slow in posting them. Even though that is the case if i ever wanna comment on something il do so in the vgchartz forums and not on a different site. Vgchartz has in my opinion one of the better gaming communities and more civil forums :)

Oh and for videos i go to gametrailers.
