Forums - Nintendo - Arc Rise Fantasia is a very underrated Wii JRPG. My review.

I'm going to beat the game tomorrow as well as do the secret stuff right away. I would've beaten the game today like I said, but the final boss got the upper hand after I was fighting both forms for an hour or something and I rage quit >:( Boss only had 20k some HP left too...

*snip*

I used this neat little mini-trick on the final form, enter the first form boss battle when your about to level up, the first form will give you about 25k exp points, you'll level up and have full HP...etc at the beginning of the second form battle :)

This game's bosses were pretty tough I must say. I found myself barely beating them each time (that's IF i didn't happen to gameover and ragequit), especially since it's so hard to get super powerful with grinding (@ people who haven't played, it's cuz enemies give less exp the higher your level) - - - - loved every bit of it (even the ragequits lol)

I always had interest in that game. I might buy it one day.

See now this is the issue I have with a lot of reviewers, if the nicest thing you have to say about a game is "good" and "solid" then it isn't an 8.5  People talk about the score inflation in games and this is the exact reason, people think good means mid 8 when it really means low 7, and solid is more like a 6.  I read another review recently where his final word was that the game was solid, and he gave it a 9 (not our site, I read other site's reviews to see if there's anything important we missed in our own reviews when editting).  Either people need to use more colorful wording or they really don't know what scores are supposed to mean.  If I was content editing your review I'd tell you to get down to a 7.0 overall which is a much better match to what you wrote.

...

The chance of this game coming to Europe is as big as us getting Tales of Graces, but I am considering importing it. HBC <3

I might get it if I have the time.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Rising Star tends to bring over everything eventually.  You'll probably get it in 2011.

That's quite interesting Soriku. I own the game but have not played it yet. I'll get around to it. I'm done with FFXIII for now. There's quite a bit left to do, but so much content!

I'm a pessimist. I hope the delay has something to do with RGS listening to their fans and localising ARF with Japanese voices.

Damn it, now I want this game.

I havn't had an RPG fix in forever.  I'd gather from the reviews this was a totally competitent if very generic JRPG and I wanted to wait for a AAA RPG (The Last Story, Xenoblade, DQX) but with none of those even announced and reading this makes we want to buy it.

Have to wait until after Christmas now though.

What would you say is a fair price for it?

I'm going to watch some gameplay videos.  If I like what I see, I may buy this game.  If not, I'll finally start trying to beat Blue Dragon.  I feel like playing a jrpg on consoles, right now.  This could be the one.
