I don't think your crazy, I just think the people who are buying it are crazy. Theres like no software at all. :/

Sales are good though. They better be, how much did they blow on advertising the damn thing?

12 games = no software?

lol

Since I'm not part of the target audience, I'm not really pleased by the dozen games or so that have been released. If I had to buy a Kinect, I'd be hard-pressed to find anything that I like in the current library.

It has some good software for its current audience: dance and fitness fans, and very young children. There's nothing in there for us FPS/RPG gamers, and it's really unfortunate.

People who buy this aren't crazy; they're different from us.

Ok, anybody that tries to minimize the SALES PHENOMENON that Kinect is this holiday should be banned for a week for trolling. This is just amazing.

What is really amazing to me, though, is that Microsoft may have found with Xbox 360 Kinect the one system this gen that excites and satisfies BOTH core and casual gamers. That there is the definition of a winning combination.

And I know that will probably go down as one of the most hated statements ever on this site. I'm ok with that, because facts are on my side.

I'd say arguably the Wii satisfies a good amount of core gamers (not the extent of the 360 obviously) In terms of satisfying both groups of gamers I say 360 > Wii > PS3.  Now if KINECT fails in the next couple of months then that whole argument is off the table lol.  But i don't think KINECT will fail for at least a couple of years.

If you are talking about games there are a few go to wikipedia there are nice list and a few of them have decent metacritic scores. If you talking about "Software" actually its a little hard for it not to work without software.

Advertising? They never released the figure they spent on Kinect...

Point to where you are not trolling

err, 20 million? So you expect it to sell nearly half the userbase of the 360? Exactly what kind of software is going to push 20 million Kinects at $150 a piece ($300 if you include those who don't have a 360)? CERTAINLY not the software out for it now.

I predict sales will fall like a rock after the holiday season. There are no games out now or in the forseeable future that shows otherwise.

It might be hated but you are right. IF sales in the next year just keep spiking then we know they have hit a gold mine. If casuals are happy and core. Word of mouth will take a little time but will also build and build and build. We could by next christmas have another Wii type sales platform. Might even over take the wii in sales next holiday. I see a lot of the casuals moving towards this and exlploring the casual and the hardcore. Making more gamers. Hey nothing wrong with more gamers. software giants need them.

Seriously 20 million is not so far fetched.

TGS had some games that showed some potential and I heard of a game through a friend that works somewhere lets say. That there will be a horrow game that a witch lady or creepy lady will ask you to hand stuff to her through the tv and then once you put out your hand, she takes it. Of course this is a all rumor but hey it's sounds interesting.

You do know that Xbox sales are also growing as well as Kinect? I am asking this because I really dont think you know. You are asking the question thinking that Xbox360 sales are gonna stop tomorrow... that aint gonna happen buddy

Making up 1/4 of that 20 million in under two months is impressive and yea sales will fall but not so much that it can't get to 20 million by the end of next year. For how long it has been out I think you might want to rethink your stance on the 20 million. next christmas it could hit higher sales. That 150 will be dropped most likely to 129 or 100.

Well you do realize that the 360 userbase will be 50 million before the end of the year.  Then it will add another 20 million in 2011 and 2012.  So it isnt 1/2 the user base.

Also by the way at the end of last week VGC had Kinect Adventures at 3.2 million so that means 800K this past week.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
