Forums - General Discussion - Atheits ... How Many On VGChartz ?

The fact that theories change and our measurement of nature improves and more and more facts are found out about the universe and are subsequently revised, peer-reviewed and added into our ever improving understanding of the universe is a good thing. This is why our technology improves so much. If our understanding didn't improve then it would be very difficult to improve our technology by the leaps and bounds that it has in the last few hundred years.

You better be happy that science is self-improving, because if it wasn't we wouldn't be able to have this conversation right now.

I'm sick and tired of the you can't approve that god doesn't exist argument. You can say that about anything, aliens, ghost,UFO's. So should I start believing in those things, just because I can't prove they don't exist. I mean you can say that about any dam thing. There is no god, plain and simple,Religion is just something people have to feel better about themselves when they die. Whatever makes them sleep better at night. lol

Another thing,I live in the real world,Religion doesn't help me with my life,it does'nt pay my bills and put food on the table. I don't need some false higher being to make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, when you religious people are following all these fairy tales and false teachings,I'll be living in the real world.

Please, stop trying to imply that your way to live life is more correct than others. Both religious and non-religious people live in the real world and deal with reality in the best way that they can. You have no right to imply that you're more correct than anyone else.

Ergo, the contrary also applies for anyone who's religious trying to imply that believing in a higher being is also the most correct way.

I don't believe in athiests. =P

In high school and college, a LOT of my friends were athiests, hardcore ones at. You know, the type that not only don't believe in any form of god, but also insist on verbally attacking anyone who DOES believe.

Anyway, after they had their first kid, they "found God". Its very easy to be young (teens, twenties) and claim athiesm. I generally dismiss that as a phase. Hit your 30s, raise a family and STILL be athiest, then I'll credit you as being athiest. =)

Well said. Actually the older you get, the closer you are to death and that has a factor too.

Didn't you used to be a Christian? Or am I thinking of someone else?
