Sorry to say, but i regreted buying God of War 3
Final Fantasy VIII (PSN) - What a terrible terrible game, I made my rant thread about it a few months ago. Waste of what £8 or 9
Fable 3 - Disappointment of the generation for me
Resonance Of Fate - Abysmal
| TopCat8 said: Left 4 Dead 2 (360): I just didn't like it. I've only played it once. Ever since then, it's just been collecting dust. It just turned out to not be my type of game. Dead Space Extraction (Wii): Nothing happens! Does the 360 version feel like one big cutscene? That's how I felt when playing the Wii one. I'll give it another chance though when I can find my nunchuk again. |
no the the normal one is nothing like this.
The wii one is a rail shooter. which for me was fun, too cutsceney and forgetable.
In Dead Space, you are not on rails anymore, a lot less cutsceney, you can move, back track, etc. you have the ability to upgrade things etc... and you're more isolated the atmosphere is much much better. And, obviously looks a lot better.
Obviously I love dead space so thats why I'm saying this
In extraction it was enjoyable for me, because of the dead space lore... but nothing special... and I never want to play it again.
OT in addition to nier... I also bought tales of symphonia (Gamecube) I really hated that for the first 5 hours and quit.
kirby's epic yarn- I was really excited for this game as I loved kirby for the nes and gba and always play as him in SSB so when it came out I got it day one. After the second world I just couldn't pick it back up. It's not a bad game just my tastes have changed too much during the years and I regret buying it.
I almost didn't get DKCR because of this but I'm glad I did as that game is so fun. Every other purchase I made has been well worth it.
demon souls: was to scared to do the 2nd level nuff said.
dead rising 2: didnt yet finish it its fun but hard, very hard.
darksiders: coudnt get into the game
ff13: not a bad game but i just coudnt get into it after 4 hours of play.
Being in 3rd place never felt so good
Mytran Wars - really boring piece of crap. Lesson learned = the game featuring mechs isn't guarrante of enjoyable gameplay.

He said the PSP ones were better at making you use your various weapons and just in general set up situations better. |
I'll have to get back to Chains to re-evaluate it. Naturally I wasn't exactly "sucked in" since I never got too deep into the game, but it was a quality title that captured that GoW feel.
I did run into a funny issue the last time I played Ghost though. Between my button mashing shaking the PSP and the several giant cyclops that were on screen, I could not even see Kratos, what he was doing (other than his spinning blade VFX) or his hit reactions. Basically, playing blind thanks to the classic GoW fixed camera angles, which is not cool.
Other than that though, Ghost is solid. I don't regret pre-ordering it.
| --OkeyDokey-- said: Smash Bros. Brawl. I already had an NTSC copy with a Freeloader which obviously doesn't work anymore. So I got rid of that and bought a brand new PAL copy last month because I felt like it. After a few hours I realised I'd already played it death and it was no longer fun. Waste of $70. |
I bought that one when it came out, and I regret paying $50 for it.
I spent less than 10 hours unlocking characters and stickers before setting the game aside. It's still Smash Bros. and either you love it or you don't. It helps if you're a fan of all Nintendo characters naturally.

Uhh, hate to point this out but the guy is right:
From the OP
"Sometimes are impulsive buying, other the result of the hype, but at the end the story is the same. Sepnd 60 bucks in somthing that isn't very good is quite painful, so let's see what games didn't live to your expectations this 2010."
The thread is about things you bought with your own money, that's why I only said FF13 (I've just remembered I should have included Heavy Rain as well but we digress), since you didn't buy it, you can't nominate it. If that's the case, I would have nominated Resonance of Fate, Pain, MW2 and a couple others but I didn't because they were rentals.
