Yeah, I know, sounds crazy, right? But whilst 1.1m is impressive, it's still not up YOY and is tantalizingly close. The number is amazing in itself, but it's pointless to be happy about it without putting it into context. Also, it doesn't really matter how Wii stacks up against PS360. During the holidays, at least, it's in a completely different league from them, :D.

Yeah people seem to not notice the bigger picture, mainly being Wii sales while slightly lower have been consistent and in line with other home console front runners at this time in its life mainly that sales trends usually wane a bit, even then it's still tracking higher than the PS2.

PS3 and 360 have picked up some steam because... well quite frankly Sony and Microsoft has done their damnest to sell the console, I've never seen two companies do everything in their power to sell a console like those two have, but typically every push they do lasts a few weeks and then it returns to normal, imagine that?  This year has been their best pushes but I'm really interested in their sales next year since they can't pull the same gambit again.

Did I say they sold less?  NO!  In fact I said they picked up steam too! Imagine that!  Really though knock that s**t off, it's just annoying...

While 360 is up like 2 million and PS3 like 1.5 million...

Their gambit this year was Xbox slim, Kinect, and Move, you can't really expect them to make a PS3 Slim mk2 or 360 slimmer, or even new motion controls, all of which with new marketing campaigns and such.

Sony re-branded the PS3 with the slim as well to help the image, Microsoft has done it twice with NXE/Avatars and now with Kinect.  Add to that you can only re-brand your product so many times before it loses meaning, even then you can do it so much that you forget to market to the guys that got you to where you're at now... sooo yeah it could be bad.

Honestly they're both doing well and I think they should just keep on that track.  The only thing is their options to push more consoles is starting to run out, which is quite normal as a system gets older.

What are you talking about?All three consoles are very close between eachother in 2010.Holidays are the single reason the Wii is going to be the highest selling home-console this year as well.

Assuming the PS3 and 360 will be getting a price cut in 2011,holidays won't be enough to save the Wii.It needs a price cut as well,or a BIG thing coming out for it.
