If microsoft wishes to they can always keep the 360 with harddrive as the same or lower price then the ps3 though because it is cheaper to make. I don't think ps3 will recieve a pricecut soon because it is selling amazingly well already and sony wants profit more then explosion in hardware they would sell for a loss. That said back to the topic

I don't think 360 will reach 13mil next year. I think Kinect will slowly fayde after the holidays are over unless some really amazing games come out for it soon. If it does end up being a huge success though, it should not be much of a problem even with no other big exclusives. Though personally all I have to look forward to for 2011 is multiplatforms and maybe LFD3 which would be fine if I didn't own a ps3 as well. O well.

• Halo  Gears game
• Forza (with Kinect)
• exclusive Rockstar games
• Left 4 Dead (could go Multi in 2011)
• Modern Warfare with Exclusive DLC
• improving live (I don't know what's wrong with it)
• Batman game
• unannounced games??

I still think this year will be the peak year for the 360...although if KINECT becomes big(ger) than its a definite possibility that 2011 will be the peak year.

Kinect needs to come with new fun games like Adventures in addition to the regular work out and dance games that everyone has.  If they can, its possible. 

Gears 3 isn't supposed to come out until Nov I think now?  When is Mass Effect 3 coming out? 

Either way, should be an interesting year... peak years for PS3 and 360 can be next year.

Although a late 2011 release for ME3 wouldn't be a stretch since thats 1.7 years.

With Dragon Age 2 releasing so fast, I'm leaning toward holiday 2011.

Yeah Gears of War 3 will be coming out in November for the Holidays 2011. Seems like Epic will have a lot of extra time polishing the game up. Gonna be the best game of 2011 for me. As far as Kinect goes we know their are other games coming. Which will obviously be all exclusive to 360. Not sure on the dates for the ones showed in Tokyo though. I'm gonna be interested in seeing more of the kinect games the Japanese developers are making at 2011 E3. I may have to get a kinect myself next year.

I thought 2010 was supposed to be their big year, and you may be right.

If Kinect worked for Netflix and they added some more commands, so you could say "Xbox, pause' in games, and more functionality I would be an even bigger killer.  It does what it does well, and can only get better in the furniture with HD and higher speed cameras on the next system.

I think they should make a 'Ravin Rabbits' game for Kinect. Not all the same as the Wii ones, but something like that - a big fun party game.

I know Gears 3 will be big, but do you think MW3 can hurt it in sales? CoD games release in November too, and I don't see the series slowing down in popularity anytime soon...

If I am honest, possible but doubtful it all comes down as to whether the 2010 is the peak year, if it is then it will be a beat hard to bit don't you think? Frontloaded Kinect release > Legs, and the lineup worries me as well, only Gears so far and a bunch of shovelware for Kinect? They need big games, like, right now. Hopefully more games will be announced for next year, because this year was quite crazy, also a possibility of Halo 1 rerelease in HD? Suffice to say I jizzed, Halo Combat Evolved has got to be one of my most overplayed games on PC and Xbox. With those Reach-ilicious graphics, this can only end well.
