Forums - General - Austria is amazing!!!

I don't want to sound spoiled, but that is what I love about Europe. I am not an Austria fan by any means, but the variety Europe offers is unmatched. That is why I am such a big supporter of the E.U. Even though some of their political decisions seem strange to me.

I want to visit Ireland for years now, but never made it. Short on cash and / or time is a problem

This looks absolutly breathtaking to me.

I love Greek and Italian food, German cars, Russian vodka and English authors.

I am glad you enjoyed your trip.

Obama loved it here too...

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Oh, dozens! They were all hopping around Cinderella and Stalin, singing Christmas songs to Obama an... ok, there's a slight chance that was a dream?

Did you visit Rol?

He lives in Australia, silly. You know, the European one.

OT: I remember visiting Austria a few years ago. Fantastic place. Where did 50 of you stay, though? O_O

I don't remember, we drank too much

I'm kidding, we stayed at hotels all over Austria, Vienna, Salsburg, Innsburg, etc.

Glad you liked Austria that much... but I have to say that it is very unlikely you have been to Innsburg^^ its called Innsbruck;P

If anyone ever visits Austria I can give them a tour of Vienna ;P

Sounds like a Burger King special like I said it, right?

I found German extremely hard to pronounce! Maybe because in Greek we use many more vowels than you. Anyways, I really, really enjoyed my stay at your country, and I saw some of the most magical scenery I've seen in my life.

Danke

Hello everyone!

Last week I went on a tour to Austria. All I can say is WOW! It was by far the most beautiful, magical country I've even been to in my life. Forests and trees everywhere, kind people, beautiful cities, clean everywhere. It was like watching Lassy or Little house on the prairie in real life!

We (50 people group) went to Vienna, boy, amazing city. We gawked at every single marvel of building, each with its own style and history. We visited one of Sissy's castles, visited 3 famous lakes their names I'm not even going to try to pronounce, and drank lots of BEER, the great kind...

One thing bothered me, though... You'd think visiting an island you'd see the sea, even on the horizon. I guess I missed it by sleeping in the bus constantly, or that we mainly ventured the mainland?  <(@_@)>

Anyways, spectacular stuff, I definitely recommend a visit to Austria, you won't regret it!

What island o_O?

I was in Vienna a looong time ago. Long enough not to be interested in any buildings and beer, and spend a whole day in the Prater!
