The game is simply overpriced.   With no Online on Wii it's merely a graphically enhanced Genesis game and not valued at more than $20.   For HD consoles it's even worse, as they were already promised it for A) FREE and then B) $15.  How to you go from $15 to $60-70?  Just for a career mode?  Extremely poor value proposition.

We'll see if these game gets some legs when it gets to the bargain bin.

The people its right, Its overpriced, for Wii it should cost 30-40 dollars, because it doesn't have online, the price for the HD consoles is about right BUT they made the mistake of announce it as a Free DLC for NBA Elite 2011, then when that game was cancelled everybody though it was not worth more than 15 dollars (the usual price of an Arcade game), but they charged way too much for what the people was expecting, so Wii owner don't think its worth $50 for the lack of online, HD Owners don't think its worth $50 because they were expecting a lower price.

I bought it because I found it at 20 dollars, but I would had pay for it up to 30 dollars, not much more, its a good and fun game, but its not worth $50.

disgruntled Wii owners were not going to get it because they were mad it went multi, no online and that price is horrendous

Hd owners not getting it, cause they didnt even know the damn release date too much confusion between whether it would be DLC have career mode etc. by the time it was cleared up no one really cared.

ADS ADS ADS!!!! im one of those people who dont believe in this whole games needs ads, thats crap. core gamers dont need ads, this is internet age. GT5 is selling and I saw very little ads. With that being said this game needed advertisment, it could have easily tapped into the nostalgia factor of most Wii and HD owners and they could have sold respectably. Look at NSMBs same damn price no online. no one complained that sold like gangbusters.

I didn't even know it released. I've been game shopping a couple of times in the last week (sales) and I haven't seen a PS3 or 360 version on any retail shelves. It's so weird how EA stuffed up their HD PR and distribution.

Meh, they're still one of the best publishers.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

The Wii version lacks what people see as basic features, nobody knows what's in the HD version anymore, and the people who do know what's in the HD version think it's $30 or $40 overpriced.

gt5 is a huge title though, that can sell millions without Ads

It sold more than Vanquish!

*shoulder shrug*

-HD users don't get a career mode

I believe this is incorrect: the planned digital version was going to exclude it, but the ultimate retail version contains all the features of the Wii version, plus online play.

Okay, here's my revised three point list:

- Wii doesn't have online.

- Career mode sucks.

- At this point, nobody knows what features the game has or whether it's a disc, or a bonus on a disc, or a downloadable title. A confused customer is a customer who spends money on something else.

Why it sucks? I'd like to know because I played it yesterday with a friend and I had a lot of fun. I'm seriuosly considering to buy it but I only played it for a few matches. Still a lot of fun for me.

The review here on VGC complained about lousy AI. I'm a little fuzzy on the details, so it might be best if you look it up yourself.
