Forums - Gaming - So ..... do you guys still trust IGN?

I wouldn't believe IGN if they told me the sky was blue.

meh..I don't trust IGN as much as I use to, they seen to be fumbling ever since this gen started(IMO) now it's a place for flame wars as everything they write is a hidden flamebait,(or intentional...ME2 better than U2..anyone remember that article?) or shit hits the fan for no reason(mostly fanboys) and don't get me started on their misleading titles...

they used to have a heavy 360 bias during 2006-2008,(IMO) but they seem to be giving the PS3 some credits now, it does get a little tiring using mostly the 360 for they're multi-platform games when some time it's not the leading platform. it seems the nintendo team is gone(gave golden sun DD a 7.5 T_T...believe that shit!!! j/k) but hey atleast IGN is still above G4/X-play(in my book)

I mostly trust Gameinformer, Gametrailers, and new to the group Vgchartz, but at the end of the day reviews are just opinions and the only person who can judge whether a game is good or not is the buyer.

ONM gave it a 92% and I trust them more

EDIT: I just read the review and it's writing sets a new low for IGN DS

I don't rely on any one source but use multiple review sites and opinions from other gamer friends.

I trust them with the games with low or no hype. however, they cant review for shit when the hype for the game is big

The Roronal Atelier review by them was very unprofessional at the best.  They gave it a 5/10 and it didn't even seem like the guy played the game at all.  He was just using "guys look like girls" stuff as criticism.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.
