My team is currently,

Dewott, Blitzle, Boldore, Herdier, Sok and Tranquill.

I'm not very keen on normal types though: what should I replace Herdier with, if anything?

On my White playthrough, I replaced it for Sawk, but I'm keeping it for my Black playthrough, as Stoutland looks to be pretty amazing, and Retaliate can be used for Sweeper tactics.

I feel very behind.

1 badge, party of Purrlion, Panpour and Snivy.

I like quite a few of the little things like the box system and the inventory.  Don't like the new experience system though.

Pixel Art can be fun.

I haven't noticed anything different in the experience system. What's new about it?

That has me worried..  You seem to get less exp for being the same Pokémon of the same level if you're a higher level.  For instance, say your Snivy is level 10 and beats a level 5 Patrat.  If you beat another Patrat at level 5 and your Snivy is now level 12 you get less experience.

EDIT: Oh and one other thing, I can't believe Pokémon now longer have their names in CAPS.

Ahhh yes, that thing. Yeah I had noticed that, but I didn't give it much thought. More pokemons to fight to level up = more EV's that your pokemon gain, so that can't be a bad thing.

i am really enjoying this game, there is some difficulty to it, so you can't just blaze through the game

some of the visuals are amazing- walking the bridge to castelia city was really cool

Captured two of the Musketeer Trio, Cobalion and Virizion.

While Virizion is okay-ish, Cobalion functions like a souped up Lucario.

So I've been gone for two days, playing (you guessed it) Pokemon as much as I could.

Actually, my brother, my sister, and myself all drove to Gamestop on Sunday listening to the Pokemon theme. Yep, we're awesome.

Anywho, my sister and I got Black, and my brother got White (I got Oshawott, my brother got Snivy, and my sister got Tepig). We've been playing as much as we can during these days, which explains my absence on here. This game is awesome. The adventure is really impressing me right now. It really feels like such a breath of fresh air while also being full of content and locales to explore. Seriously, looking back at HeartGold/SoulSilver... Johto and Kanto seem so empty in comparison.

And I'm only on Castelia City (yet have played ~12 hours).

I actually did the Zorua event so I could have him on my team. And I just went back to train him in that one cave, only to find a mound of dirt rise (so cool!) and get Drilbur. Loving it! So now I'm training my Pokemon before I take on the third gym leader.

See ya in another 2 days.

Be sure to do the Zoroark event as well. That will give you a breedable Female Zoroark, which is essential if you want to get a Dark Pulse Zoroark in the future, which is probably the best move Zoroark can use, given it's amazing Sp.Atk stat.
