Either its an attempt to drive hits, so troll article wins and fanboys lose. Alternatively it is a legitimate review and the person just has a different opinion which is allowed. So fanboys are losers in that case.

Seriously now, trolls bait fanboys. If there were no fanboys then there would be noone to troll.

It could also just be a poor review. Not all opinions are of the same quality. Someone can write a serious review that lacks legitimacy. This goes for both positive and negative reviews.

Poor games get ignored but poor reviews get reposted and linked all over the place? Thats some frelled up appreciation of quality people have. Im not saying it is a poor review, but generally if you see something which stinks you leave it where you found it.

What kind of TV do you have? I can assure you that I am blown away time and time again by the graphics, they are out of this world (or just Japan)

but put my opinion under perspective, graphics tend not to do it for in racing games as I focus on the tarmac rather than the scenary.



PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

I won't argue with that. People will generally pick negative reviews to pieces while just accepting positive reviews. From my experience, there are just as many, if not more, poorly written positive reviews as there are negative reviews. I'm also not saying it is a poorly written review. I have very limited command of the french language, so I could not properly assess it. I was just saying the review is not necessarily flame bait or legitimate. It could just be a bad review.

In the least you can admit that GT5's graphics are inconsistant, we know this from the Premium/Standard division.

If any other next gen game had best graphics ever for the first 2 levels and last gen visuals for the last 8 levels, it wouldn't get a perfect (or high) graphics score either.

That is Gran Turismo 4.
I can almost guarantee, i was playing it yesterday and i was versing the same car on the same map and it looked the exact same as that picture.

Unless they didn't change anything for GT5.

this is a joke? right?  no way...

I really hope it is but on the EU PS forums people are saying things like that in their impressions so I don't know what to believe

I don't think its "that" bad....the resolution must be messed up with those images maybe.

Embargo ends tomorrow at 8AM UK time....time to just wait now (well go to sleep and hopefully wake up to great reviews).

Watching part of this now.  Holy crap, 800 cars that you can't use the cockpit view because they don't have interiors modeled?

That's sounds like a bit of a dealbreaker for me as I almost always drive in cockpit view in Forza :(  Not that I could afford to get it until after Christmas anyway.

After playing another hour, I can tell you, no it isn't a joke. You don't really recognize those bad textures and objects while playing, but they are there, and if you look closely enough you'll see them (but it's not as bad as on those pictures though). But then again, it's not like this on all tracks, I've played a few which looked awesome, but some don't impress at all.

That said I could have been a bit early saying that this is the best looking racing game, but I need to play longer to make a final statement. But obviously, there are just too big differences regarding graphics in GT5.
