Seriously tho, first review always gives a shitty score for a very hyped game. Just imagine the amount of clicks the site has had for giving it a 14/20.

also, early review tend to give .... GOOD SCORE, particularly the IGN-like site

Why??? Expectations have been raised since then, it might be a bad review I don't know I haven't played it yet, but this doesn't prove that.

IT MAKES NO SENSE THAT GT5 looses 4 points in graphics and 2 points in gameplay from prologue!!!

Different times, different standards. That's all there is to it.

At this present time in the gaming market according to what kind of odd standards does GT5 deserve a 15/20?

there are areas where gt5 seems to have made backward steps..

shadows for example which are extremely poor and often flickering and distract from racing.. gtp was definitely better in this aspect then the version of gt5 in my hands

just sayin'

do you put away 5 point for bad shadows ?

And opinions or not, there's always a limit. Just not enjoying the game over a previous one is one thing. Claiming the visuals are lower than that said game is a horse of another color. It's not the opinion that people are bugged by, it's the specifics that aren't adding up.

I read severals thread too : impression are mixed but I doubt people will rate the game LOWER than prologue

it makes no sense particularly when prologue get a ... 19/20 for gfx

I don't really care about review scores, but the graphics rating is just ridiculous. I got it today, played it for some time now, and it's easily the best looking racing game on the market, although it's not perfect (the car shadows look a bit weird IMO).

So to everyone in this thread who hasn't got GT5 yet: don't worry, you won't be disappointed in its' graphics. I can't really say much about gameplay right now because I'm not the biggest fan of racing sims, so I don't have much experience with such games. Overall, I like it so far.
