Forums - General - So uhm dieting is actually hard. Help Me!

Many of you might remember about a year ago (or a few months ago id exactly remember) when I made a thread asking help about gaining weight. It was about my experience when I was very underweight in accordance to my age and height.

That's when I learned that by drinking protein shakes, eating a lot, and exercising I could gain weight.

So during the summer break I exercised those suggestions and by the beginning of this school year I had gained around 20 pounds!

The problems were however:

  • I had failed to exercise enough
  • I began being lazy/didn't even play outside
  • I weigh around 135-145 compared to 109 which means I have FAT
  • FAT on my face, I look super chubby
  • It's hard to resist eating, I'm hungry all the time
  • I don't know what exercises to do!

Just imagine the contradiction I would have created if I had said this 6 months ago!

So I'm constantly made fun of my weight, which is noticeable in my face. It looks so round and chubby and to make matters worse I don't have a large face.

I used to make fun of people who were fat and complained about loosing weight and how they let themselves get that fat. Goes to show that you shouldn't judge unless you walk through their same shoes.

*Note that I don't exactly look that way anymore, I'm referring to my profile pic :(*

Please vgcharterz, help me! What exercises should I specifically do? How do I control my hunger? Sometimes when I exercise I start feeling hungry and I feel that I'm not in shape enough to do exercises and that I would dramatically go skinny again. I need head exercises for my face to get ride of fat. Are there any thing you would recommend buying? Would Growth hormone supplements work? What if I put that electronic belt thing that pops up on television about how it helps get ride of fat?

I sound desperate LMAO

This sounds like a good opportunity to recommend games....

Buy a kinect and dance central. XD

LOL I was thinking about that. But I doubt my parents would buy me that. Perhaps recommend Wii exercise games besides Wii Fit?

Do plenty of walking. Serously, it's the best way. If you need to get anywhere within 3 miles, walk it, or cycle.

You said you used to play outside a lot? Get back to doing that.

Dieting is hard, especially if you have to beat the eating habit. That hunger feeling is your first real barrier, try eating small amounts regularly - like fruits, it'll briefly fight off the hunger until it's time to have a proper meal.

Proper meal, have a breakfast, lots of little mini-meals (fruit and stuff) then a bigger, proper dinner.

Also, a clevel little trick, before you eat your dinner, drink 2 full glasses of water. that'll fill you up some and won't want to eat so much!

Eventually your stomach will shrink a little, and then you won't feel that hunger so much, and when you do, it'll be because you've actually missed a meal, not just because you want to eat!

Wii Fit, and eat low-fat food, vegetables that are low in starch are very good.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Just vomit your food out after you eat.

Wait, ur profile says you are 17, and you are made fun of for weighing 135-145 lbs (I'm assuming pounds, it says you're from US).  If you think you are fat at that age, and are offended by people who make fun, you need to go to the doctor for psychological help, no offense.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

Should help.

It will give you the amount of calories you should be intaking and will tell you how much calories are in pretty much... EVERYTHING.

I'd suggest looking up and adding to your plate what you are going to eat before you do.  So you have to stare in the face the amount of calories you are eating and when you know you'll go over before you do.

Well keep in mind that I'm trying to gain muscle mass without much FAT. It's not the first time I've heard about drinking water along with another about chewing gum saying that it will help alleviate hunger. Well that, in my case anyway, is not true. If I chew gum, I start feeling hunger, bear proportion hunger! The same with water, and to be honest I avoid drinking water unless I'm exercising. If I drink water with food, I feel hungry in a few minutes afterwards and in many cases my stomach starts reacting negatively :S. My body is eccentric.

I'm 15 -_- LOL. I just changed it to 17 because of the ageism on here. I'm around the average weight for my age and height but due to gaining lots of weight in short period, I have FAT. Which is the whole point, and I'm trying to loose that fat into muscle.

If your old enough to drive flatten your cars tires and ride a bike everywhere! I know its winter, but maybe you live in a warmer place than Colorado where I live. I am serious riding a bike has made me slim and fit and in the best shape if my life.

No matter what anyone says it will take exercise.

Based on your last post you don't sound fat at all for 15 year old. So forget what I wrote.
