I didn't include Resistance 1 or Motorstorm 1 because they were launch games and they were bundled so their sales won't be a good indicator of the sales of Resistance 3 or Motorstorm 3.

I'd like to note that God of War 3 has been the most recently released game off the list.

God of War 3 will probably die off at around 2.5 - 3.0 million units in America.

So is there any game releasing (besides Gran Turismo 5) that can overcome God of War 3? LittleBigPlanet 2? Killzone 3? inFamous 2? Resistance 3? Twisted Metal? (TM sold over 2million units in America), SOCOM 4 ?( remember SOCOM 1 outsold both GOWs on the PS2)?

Is it possible? if so, which game?

I think if any game would do it, it would be either Killzone 3 or Uncharted 3.

Also, can any game have a bigger impact on HW than GOW3?

i honestly don't think anything will outsell it in Americas except Gran Turismo 5. Unless they do something crazy I can't see uncharted 3 outselling uncharted 2, considering the amount of hype uncharted 2 has gotten as one of the best games ever made. Killzone 3 could probably beat 2 and infamous 2 as well but not by that much

internet hype is not that influential on a game's sales. It can help somewhat but not by much.
