Interesting they're both so close, 360 SW outsold Wii SW by 3 million in Americas this week thanks to Black Ops, it could possibly pass Wii next week if Black Ops sustains enough. HW is trickier .. Wii is rising very fast and could even overtake next week, so it's hit and miss as to whether 360 can overtake. I still see BF being Wii's.

360 will win Americas both Se and Hw.

For sure !!!  Its amazing that an American console is going to win this year in the United States. Even atari didnt succed that, back in the days...

I think 360 can win HW but SW not so much.

The Wii's drop the last two quarters is simply staggering, comparing it to last year is strange reading.

similarly we saw Wii rise a lot last week in EU..but this week its rise was much slower and PS360 both did more than it

you might see that happen in NA too...basically meaning 360 might keep the lead (albeit not by that much)

It's difficult to say where this is going to end up.  The past few years the Wii has been the hot item during the christmas season, but the launch of kinect seems to have grabbed the spotlight as the family console, it's possible the 360 could see numbers similar to past wii holiday sales if the market chooses kinect as this years must have item.

More impressive for the 360 when you consider the massive bundling Wii has.

Wow, insane. However I think NPD stated that Xbox 360 had 'won already' and by their perspective since they don't count bundled software im pretty sure it'll also apply that 360 software was ahead as well.

heh, even if the Wii has a 30% drop YoY in the holidays and the X360 has a 30% rise in the holidays the Wii will still beat it in hardware for the year.
