I liked Call of duty when it was called GoldenEye 64, and I liked GoldenEye 64 when it was called Wolfenstein.

That being said, the only one I've played is Black Ops. So I guess I'll vote for Call of Duty: Black Ops.

I think there should be another thread asking if people who voted in this thread played pre-modern warfare CoD. I'm actually quite interested in seeing who else has played the WW2 CoD's and how they feeling about them in comparison to newer iterations.

Newer iterations are better on online multiplayer and worse on singleplayer.

It's really a great franchise. My favorite is without a doubt CoD4 but Black Ops is suprisingly close so far. MW2 was enjoyable but the campaign wasn't very fun.

Modern Warfare the first for sure. It pratically began the whole COD mania this gen due to it's balanced single player and extremely addicting multiplayer.

I voted CoD4, but I have played CoD1 and I have CoD2: The Big Red One. CoD1 was ok and CoD2 is still a good game and the online wasn't too bad when it came out either. But CoD4 easily beats it imo. I played CoD3 on the Wii but I didn't like it. WaW was good - the coop play is a great idea as well as Nazi zombies but not as good as CoD4.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Rather easily.

Best Single player.

2nd best Multiplayer.

Started a revolution.

Took a huge dumb on CoD3.

I was at one point, within the top 1000 people int he world!

Black Ops is great but too soon to consider it my favourite. My order would be:

1. CoD4

2. Black Ops

3. World at War

4. Modern Warfail 2 aka MWTF2

5. Call of Duty 1

6. Call of Duty 3

Never played: Call of Duty 2
