Forums - Gaming - More insight into why Krome studios closed down

IGN AU has a lot of insight to why the studio closes down, apparently much like many EA teams that got tired of making Madden every year the Krome guys got frustrated being work for hire, limited budgets, with limited development time, it wore on morale, then the games not selling well coupled with it didn't help.

For the full article check out the link some interesting quotes from former employees.

To be fair this isn't a review rather a very well done interview and it's not exactly IGN but IGN AU!  The AU makes all the difference!

Yeah it is like IGN but worse. Why dig the hole deeper! IGN AU hasn't tried to hide their decline half as much as the main site has. They have been really terrible all generation long. Still going to read the interview though.

I think we should still use them for journalistic articles since they can actually hold some factual basis. . .Oh who am I kidding this is IGN.

This article is actually pretty good. They stray away from any real commentary and just give a voice to the former employees and the founder. It is an interesting insight into what crippled the studio, and how it easily could have been avoided. Some of it is bitterness from fired employees, and some spin from a CEO trying to sell his company to potential publishers but overall very informative.

Hmm that is actually good news from a site that seems to always have two cents about everything and anything. Personally I shouldn't judge the IGN-NON US staff harshly.

I'm curious about the studio somewhat, as I never really heard of them. Also I haven't read the article yet, because I just don't like giving IGN any hits, but is this really that much different than the IW scandal. "Employee bitter, and CEO spinning,"
