It is nice to have 3 quality shooters in 3 months, isn't it?

Conduit 2 looks very healthy in terms of multi-player.

Sorry to bring you the bad news, but its only TWO quality shooters this month, Conduit 2 was delayed till FEBRUARY of 2011, because it was harder to compete with both CoD and Goldeneye in the same month, and it gave the team time to implement other small things to polish the game, like Classic Controller support, improvement of the AI, better online secutiry, among others.

See the bolded part.

Thanks. Was gonna point it out meself, but good to have backing in high places ;)

Anyone know how this compare to Wii version of Black Ops in term of sales?

Might be a bit early for that. However in the past few days I've been to a few Walmarts and two gamestops, granted not a large selection by any measure and I saw more shelf space (where games would be located and if some were still on the shelves) for Goldeneye compared to the Wii version of Black Ops. More copies of GE were gone as well. I wouldn't be surprised if more copies of GE were shipped in general (meaning more could be sold) as well since the bulk of Black Ops sales are going to come from the 360 first and then the PS3.

I would say around 200k first week, possibly more with the stats they gave for first day sales alone.

Ok, I totally missed the 3 months part but...3 months means november, december and january and the game its releasing in february, if you want to be technical its from november 9th till february 9th and we don't know the day of the game release.

In another somewhat unrelated matter, in my screen nothing looks bolded, I think underline its a better method of making something more noticeable.

I updated the front page with some more news. I will also post it here. Its looking good. http://www.nintendoeverything.com/ Nintendo’s UK head of comms Rob Saunders-

“The sales of GoldenEye show that these titles can and do perform well on Wii. The idea that Wii owners are only after smaller mini-game compilations or first-party titles isn’t true. A good quality title, supported well by both publisher and retail, has just as much chance of performing well as any Nintendo title.”

I still think Goldeneye should have been multiplat. Based on how CoD games have done, Goldeneye would be lucky to hit 2 million on the Wii.

Its safe to say the HD consoles could hit that easily.

Instead they let Bizarre Creations develop another mediocre game. Nobody is gonna be sad when they go bankrupt.

I'm not sure if it's true, but I heard somewhere that Nintendo own the rights to a game based off the film of Goldeneye.  Hence why the recent Goldeneye game is Nintendo exclusive.  Rogue Agent didn't count because it wasn't based off the film.

I don't know whether this is correct, but it so it would have limited the platforms the game is on

I actually considered that.

Nintendo had the rights for the franchise, perhaps they also wanted to own the game.

Goldeneye is up... ~125k during the same time period. Based on these here numbers, who wants to venture a guess as to what the final numbers will be after one year? MWR managed 1.2m after 52 weeks.
