Ok but leave the galaxy aside please.

The difference between 64 and Sunshine was that you got access to 15 stages plus some bonus ones, but needed only, what, 75 stars to get to the last world? You didn't need to clear out all six stars in every stage to hit the end. In Sunshine you needed the core 49 (50 including that one you have to do at the very beginning) to proceed, so it felt more forced, because shines you got outside the core 49 didn't count towards your total (so if you had fifty, but three of them were blue coin shines, that's too bad) |
Yeah, and in Sunshine you could only collect one particular shine during a playthrough of a stage, which, coupled with the fact that the shine missions were presented in a set order, meant there was no freedom in what missions you wanted to complete, either.
Galaxy had virtually no repetitive padding, though. The levels had one setting, yes, but the stars generally set the player on unique paths that explored different planetoids within that setting. Galaxy's green stars were unadulterated padding, though it was optional.
My predictions:

Lifetime sales prediction
Wii 79/150 million
Xbox 360 47.7/73 Million
PS3 43.6/69 Million
I don't know why, but I'm so happy Miyamoto said all this.
I love Nintendo.

It's to make up for all the Wii and DS hating. They are making us want it threefold to punish them for doubting (even if you and I didn't).
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
Good. I will buy both. I really hope they give the 2D one a damn personality though. The NSMB games are good but they completely lack the magic of SMB 3 and World.

No, those people just are fucking pathetic at videogames if they can't jump on a 3D goomba.

Ah, but he also opposes Nintendo for making more 3D Marios. Unstoppable force, meet immovable object!
