just found out where Sony's keeping their OVERSHIPPED PS3'S

can't we just give a "good job" to the PS3 and move on...all this negativity will bite you in the ass...one day

Anecdotal, yes, AND for the usual bitching back and forth. So I've gone ahead and done it, along with issuing a ban.

This is hilarious. Absurd that it's even being defended by Mods (Especially with how sensitive the banning around here are given).

First of all,  just knowing how retail stores operate we know this is complete bulls***.   A retail store would not have 300 PS3's in stock.  Period.  Especially at a random, non-important time frame.  As the poster who works at Best Buy mentioned with distribution centers they will keep their inventory up (Maybe even upwards to 50) but not too much simply for space constraints of the store.

Second of all, doing simple calculations...The Front of the PS3 Slim box is about 13 1/4" Wide x 13 1/4" High with a depth of around 6 " (**I have my empty PS3 box sitting right inside my desk**) .  Assuming standard retail shelving is around 18" deep.

We could reasonably assume that you could fit (3) PS3's per 13 1/4" of shelf space.  Which would mean if the PS3s were on one singular shelf placement we would need around 110 ft of frontal space being (3 PS3s deep).  You're looking at around 1.82 cubic feet per (3) PS3s on the shelves.  With around 100 rows in total, I'll let you do the math.

The average Best Buy Retail store is only around 44,000 sqaure feet.  They sell Fridges, Stoves, Microwaves, Car Steroes, TVs, Movies, Three Consoles, Games, Accessories, Peripherals, Computers, Laptops, Cameras, Cell Phones, Install Car Steroes  Space is taken up by Check out desks, Geek Squad Stations, Help Kiosks, Camera Kiosks, Storage containers, Shelving, etc, etc.      And you believe they are storing THAT much space to just housing PS3s that (They obviously according to you aren't selling?).

Laughable.  Just laughable.
