Forums - Nintendo - Mario Kart Wii: 23 Million and counting

Mario Kart Wii still remains as my favourite, however Double Dash is immensely close to this. I think the "new to Mario Kart" players of the Wii and DS games should experience their predecessors. Each game is better in its own way, for example Double Dash is the strongest in offline Multiplayer, however its replay value is a let-down.

@Rainbow Yoshi  im glad to see someone giving Double Dash the respect it deserves, dont agree on replay value. I still play that game every now and then

Wii Play is bundled with the Wii controller. It's actually the only way you can buy a Wii controller where I live. They don't sell the controller alone now.

But MKWii is bundles with the Wii wheel...

You don't buy the game just for the Wheel....

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

@namum  I actually met someone who did buy it just for the wheel. She had wanted an extra wheel and I think there were out of stock for just the wheel, must be nice to have that much disposable income

This game sold more units in its third year than most games will sell in their entire shelf lives. o_O

October was a great month to post this thread, because this game's sales are just frightening.

Second-best, in point of fact.

If you discount Wii Play and Wii Sports, it's not just the best-selling game on the Wii - it's the best-selling game for this entire console generation.

More props to it!

I actually remember saying right before it launched that Mario Kart Wii would be the best selling Wii game ever aside from the bundled ones (Play and Sports). Finally, a prediction I (most likely) got right!

Not bundled I mean.

And? Mario Kart Wii is the only game I'm aware of that uses the Wii wheel. Plus that's not the reason people buy Mario Kart Wii especially since you can buy a wheel for 5-10$. Why would they pay 49,99$ if they don't intend to own Mario Kart Wii?

Rock on MK Wii....just keep on climbing.

Bah!
