Also if it is on track to surpass the 15M projection than I wouldn't rule out the PS3 being undertracked as well.

How much has it sold so far this fiscal year according to VGChartz and how much would it need between now and the end of March 2011 to surpass 15M?

Also like someone said, the fact that they are increasing it this late in the year gives you the impression that sales are going pretty good right now and with those Move numbers I wouldn't be surprised if it is having more of an effect than we are lead to believe.

When they say Move I think they mean all the components of the set up - Camera, controller, subcontroller, etc. So its maybe 1.5m shipped for 500,000 people or whatever as most people will buy more than one component.

I don't see how Q3 (Oct-Dec) of the current fiscal year can beat the previous Q3 (Oct-Dec) - they're going to be down in Japan and the USA - Move GT5 <<< Slim $300 price pont MW2 FFXIII. They may need to ship alot of the bundles with Move, but even that doesn't seem like enough to get to 15m. I think European sales could be up - this is only the fourth Christmas for PS3 over there but its different in the Americas and Japan.

I think I'm being pretty realistic with Q2 shipment figures too - they sold PS3s at a much faster rate last Sept and shipments were like .7m higher than sellthrough or something, which is similar to what I have for this year.              

WTF, Move is quite hard to find, so how the hell were 1.5 Million shipped?!?!?!

Also come on Darth, you think it is MASSIVE Overshipping? He says it is selling better than they expected and they are going to ramp up production. You don't do that when you massively overshipped.

Move is definitely undertracked here.

If sales have been "in excess" of their initial plan and they're looking into "accelarating production", how is it overshipped?  0_o

Well america will probably be lower for MOVE.....EU PS3 fan base is more casual orientated from what we have seen of sales.

They still get the NPD numbers so does all who pay for it....they can't just blatently lie about estimates and such because it will have effects on their stocks and creditors etc. And we don't 'know' anything
