loves2splooge  I dont think thats a good practice too overcharge gamers just cause you can, that sounds like BS Sony and MS like to do. FYI sega has a huge presence on VC, there are more Genesis games on VC that SNES at least in US

@metallicube  thats an opinion and lets not front like Nintendo never makes a bad game ever, even though it happens once in a blue moon

The Wii is basically for two kinds of people

1. Kids, Mom, Girls, and Gramps... obviously makes up the majority of the Wii's audience.

2. And the niche gamers that can't live without Nintendo's first party. The rest of the sales are because of the above reason.

I like about 20-30 games on the Wii and some of em barely make the list... that's a joke... aftter 4 years.... I only CONSIDER 20 games on the Wii. That's looking through the whole library... I did it once and these are games I SIMPLY consider... meaning if I played them... I imagine 5-10 wouldn't make the cut

While looking at my 360's library... it's the opposite... I can consider buying most games and well 20-30 are probably no buys. I'm over-whelmed and can't play em all... also I don't have a job, time and I've always been on a budget >_> so I only have  about 60 retail games, all of which I love and consider must owns for myself and I own idk 40 arcade/indie games.Hell... I have games in my collection that still have their plastic coverings on em.

I guess I would consider a Wii when it's at 50$ at Gamestop no longer supports Wii games. Before hand I'll make sure to buy those 20-30 games I kinda wanted....

On the Plus side... we gamers now have a console that is good for our babies!

Only the 8,354,346th time I've heard this one.. I love how the so called "hardcore gamers" act like they're such non conformists and yet they all seem to say the same crap.

Non-conformists? What? I'm just saying exactly what I thought... and if you hear it all the time.. maybe because idk maybe... a lot of people feel the same way... JUST MAYBE. I mean you know it's not like the Xbox community has been around since the NES you know and we've been planning on saying this forever... it's more likely that a bunch old Nintendo fans have been with Nintendo since the NES and feel a little left out when Nintendo made the Wii.. yeah that's probably too far fetched tho isn't it. Yeah were non-conformist yet say the same crap all th time... yeeaaaaah.

Look I've been playing games since the NES and I've stuck with Nintendo all the way up to the Gamecube... so from that you can be assured I'm a "hardcore" gamer and I have been a life long Nintendo fan (and still am a little)... but the Wii can only appeal to people that can't live without Nintendo's first party and well those that apprecaite and can only play clean games (kids) and easier control scheme to learn (Girls and Gramps) oh and Fitness games (Mom)[PERIOD] It's the truth, otherwise I'd have the Wii.

It's not a "hardcore" console for the most part. The way I see Xbox 360... that's exactly how I used to to look at NES, SNES, N64, and Gamecube... but now it's a joke for most long time "hardcore" gamers EVERYWHERE! It's sad ... and true.

You feel insulted? Angry? Why should you? Your enjoying your console... I'm just speaking for myself and those that have been very dissappointed... I imagine your a HUGE fan of Nintendo's first party (one game or more) and that's why your here on vgcharts because I can't imagine a kid, mom, gramps or girl (that plays casual games) caring enough to come here.

You have your Mario, Zelda, Metriod... be happy Nintendo didn't take a dump on your face... your a hardcore gamer... those are great games but the truth is truth. Its obvious, it's true, we all know it... why deny it???????? Why make excuses.. we all know this.

Just say... "Calmador your right man, Nintendo did get super casual and I do still enjoy Nintendo's first party (and maybe some of the casual games)... sucks Nintendo didn't do it for ya and ya I know what you mean about the bad library because I sometimes find games like this... http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/bigboxshots/8/950888_108123_front.jpg ... I'll go enjoy my most favorite hardcore games ever... ___________ (Mario, Zelda, Metriod) later"

or something similair, just helping you out.

All gaming systems, consoles/PC, have thier perks... why fight over preferences? I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. God Bless you in Jesus's name.

I can communicate without talking... I can send a loved one money without actually sending money... and I can commit theft without the product disappearing, the point of theft is the point of theft not one of it's possible symptoms which is the product dissappearing. The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. Piracy is theft and/or being a culprit of theft.

Since I have no interest in Nintendo's first party it would take quality 3rd party exclusives in genres I like.

Besides the one I have?

Above: still the best game of the year.

PS3 and 360 will never buy a Wii no matter what games come out for it and  what the prices are.

thats not true but then again i've been with Nintendo longer then Sony(NES) so i guse i don't need a reason.

on the other hand i hold every console to the same standards. 15 games or more that apeal to me that are not sequals, and haft to be exclusive to that console.

PS3 over 15

360 4

Wii 8

if Nintendo makes and releases a new starfox game i'll buy the Wii the day they announce it.

I don't consider myself a "Hardcore Gamer". I buy around 20-30 games per year for PS3, PSP, Wii and DS... and have 38 platinum trophies... but after having seen some ppl online I know there is still a huge gap of how serious you can take gaming. I do not want to spend more than 20 hours into an action game, dislike Ego-Shooters, do not like competitive game modes ( I have really come to dislike online gaming because of this) and dislike hardcore difficulty levels. I just want a deep story and enjoyable gameplay.

And still I feel really disappointed with my Wii Experience. And that is partly because how Nintendo is marketing the Wii in Austria/Germany/Continental Europe. I mean, look at the Amazon Top 100 Wii Games:

http://www.amazon.de/gp/search/ref=sr_nr_n_6?rh=n:300992,k:games,n:!541708,n:195015011&bbn=541708&sort=salesrank&keywords=games&ie=UTF8&qid=1287127621&rnid=541708#/ref=sr_pg_1?rh=n:300992,k:games,n:!541708,n:195015011&bbn=541708&sort=salesrank&keywords=games&ie=UTF8&qid=1287127639

And that is in principal the same range of games you see when you go into the "Saturn" and look for some decent Wii Games. I went into 2 shops (Saturn, Libro) and tried to find Dragon Quest Swords and the Chocobo Game and couldn't find them. Hmm, well it should be "how the Stores market the Wii" then, because it is not Nintendos fault what games the story hold in stock...but you get the point. And thats why so many people, that care so much about gaming that they go to online forums to talk about them, are disappointed with the Wii.

There is some reason why the 3rd Party shunned the Wii with their franchises and prefer PS3/X360 instead. Resident Evil 5, GTA 4, FF 13, DMC 4, etc.... The higher Install Base is inflated...surely Nintendo did enlarge the market and got the attention of a new audience. But this new audience will probably never get deeper into gaming. And after those Mini Games like Wii Play/Wii Sports/Wii Fit grew old many of them will put their Wii away and continue on. And thats why the Wii is starting to fall behind (it is still selling well, though).

The PS2 also had those "shovelware"...  but it had FF X, FF X-2, FF XII, Kingdom Hearts I II, GTA Trilogy, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Dexter, Resident Evil 4, Devil May Cry, Gran Turismo, Dragon Quest VIII...

The Wii has some nice (mostly first party) games which I'd like to play. But since there are only a few, $200 is a bit too much. I think with the next price drop I'll buy one.

And I also have a 360 which has great 3rd party (and some 1st party) games.

Damn. I thought that Schlag den Raab would be a boxing game where you can beat the crap out of Stefan Raab. Would have ordered it. :D
