I recently received 1000 Nintendo Points for my birthday, however I am unsure on what to download. I cannot narrow it down to one and above have listed the main games that I intend to download. If you have any other ideas please specify.

You should get them all in the long run but for now, settle for Ocarina of time.

Get Super Mario RPG, it has tons of gameplay hours, lots of replay value, great eye pleasing graphics, tons of cool sidequest and great combat sistem.

Oot and Mario Kart 64 are pretty overrated. You can even get Ocarina on 3DS. Mario 64 and Super Metroid are good, but Mario RPG is much much better. DK could be a second option thought, but get Mario RPG as a priority.

No, I do not. This is due to being born during 5th generation, leving me with remnants of the 5th and up to the present generation.

Look, the only game you can really disclude here is Mario Kart 64, and that's only if

1. You own a current-gen Mario Kart, which tend to be better

or

2. You don't have anyone to play multiplayer with.

The rest of these games are fantastic and need to be picked based on what you want to play.

Well I did enjoy Mario Kart 64 in Multiplayer, however I was frustrated at how glitchy it was!

Download what looks most appealing to you. I'd buy Super Metroid, but I doubt that our tastes are exactly identical.

Although frankly, I don't think that Super Mario 64 has aged very well. The controls are far less responsive than in the Galaxy games, and admittedly, the level design isn't the best either. 'Twas groundbreaking for it's time, and without it, 3D platformers (Or even 3D games in general) wouldn't be what they are today. But in comparison to Galaxy 1 or 2, it feels very dated. (But then again, so does almost every 3D platformer...)
