Forums - Sony - Nomura Shares a Few Final Fantasy Versus XIII Bits at Twitter

So , we will be controlling Stella through some parts of the game !! , I thought she was the enemy

I guess that explains "there's nothing either good or bad " , I have to admit , I'm interested in the story more that anything else , especially after reading : "People will cry because of the story, they will get involved into it and will be crying for a whole week and on!and "I would say misery and worry play a huge part in the story and when the plot was being first considered I spoke with Mr. Kitase and we decided to take an even more “sad’ direction for the story

Still , more content won't hurt anybody :D ( only trolls and haters XD )

Personally i'm skeptical about the story; it seems like Noctics and Stella might capture the in your face teen drama of Squall and Rinoa, or maybe Tidus and Yuna. and after FF13, i'm worried that Nojima's script will recycle the same dialogue and events again and again, so i'm not holding my breath!

Edit: i highly doubt we're in double blu ray discs teritory yet, i think 1 blu ray will suffice.

Nah just 3 or 4 DVDs after they compress cutscenes to you tube quality :D

About the double Blu-ray thing.

People. Just look at what's there.

TOWNS!
AIRSHIP!
WORLD MAP!
CGI CUTSCENES!
NON-LINEAR!

All in HD. I'm guessing the sound wont be compressed too...

This has every possiblity of being a double Blu-ray game.

What is with this nonsense about a "double bluray" game?  They'd just use a triple layer disc :p.

What I am noticing more and more is that Final Fantasy VersusXIII is becoming the traditional Final Fantasy game that Final Fantasy XIII was supposed to be but with a Action RPG Battle System. Where Final Fantasy XIII was a Action RPG with a  modified ATB Battle System from a Traditional Final Fantasy game.

  • Towns with shops
  • Air Ships
  • World Map
  • A Living breathing world to explore with large Oceans & Forests
  • An amazing beautiful Story

At this rate Final Fantasy Versus XIII is shaping up to become my new No.2 Final Fantasy game of all time only second to Final Fantasy X.

Do triple layered discs work with PS3?

@ hikaruchan, woo! go FFX, best game ever!

This sounds so awesome :D It seems like I'll be able to explore towns and talk to everyone in each town and get into people's houses to search for items without them saying "hey, what are you doing in my house?" or calling the police. lol, just like the old times :P

I think this is going to be a very good Final Fantasy game :P and the sad story thing makes me think of Nier :P If Versus XIII has the same impact that Nier had on me, then it's going to be awesome :P

A banner stolen from some site xD

Release Final Fantasy Versus XIII nowwwwwwwwww!!! lol :P

the sad story thing along with all the shakespeare quotes, it makes me think of one of his novels. Romeo Juliet.

Triple layer discs worked for HD-DVDs and that required no upgraded hardware, like triple layer discs came out after.  Also I remember reading a while ago when Blurays were still new that you can put almost as many layers as you want.  Supposedly they had a 37 layer disc in the labs.  Now I don't know how well they read with that many layers and I think you loose some space with each layer (Though I can be wrong with that).

Suddenly I'm interested in this game again, don't leave it till sept next year before we get more info ¬_¬
