Since when has R&D, tech Demo's ever count as a true product release?  It's like saying I had the idea for Windows, iPhone etc but I never got around distributing it!!! It's just lame, and besides Nintendo had been working on motion control pre-2001 as seen in their investment and collaboration with gyration inc which they had purchased a small minority share in during that tim "Unearthed: Nintendo's Pre-Wiimote Prototype". Gizmodo  so all that bull about Sony doing motion control before Nintendo is just that...all bull.  Even if Sony was researching motion control before Nintendo (they didn't)  R&D never accounts to anything unless they ACTUALLY RELEASE THE PRODUCT!!!  Just look at the hybrid cars right now Prius is known to mainstream as the first hybrid even though the Big 3 had the blu=print to the technology as Toyota had the kahuna's to release it first!!!

*Sigh*....I highly doubt you've even tried Move based on your bullshit defensive and offensive maneuvers...but please, try it out, Play Sports Champions Frisbee Golf and Gladiator Duel for like 30 minutes, and you'll stop calling it a wii copy...

Frolf?

Gladiator Duel?

hmm...

If you put the two side by side...regardless of which one released first...The Wii games look like the cheap walgreens motion gaming console imitations...

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

You wanted them to not use any sport related to something Nintendo has done?  Poor Sony, if they don't want to get accused of copying Nintendo they have to invent entirely new sports just to make you happy.

...

@oni-link

if you did some research, they were going to release the Move back in 2002 but had problems the PSeye camera couldn't resister the dam light on the globe so Sony had to wait years before the tech such as LED came available to make it work. or else they would of had it out 8 years ago but instead had the eyetoy out instead. PSmove was the stick for the Eyetoy that didn't work until now.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Hardest part is that with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort...They slapped so many little mini-games in that anything now has already been done there...Which leads Sony to just make them better, and in my opinion, they definitely did...by far...but hey, that's just my opinion

At this point Kinect is unproven, it's impact is unproven and whether it actual represents any kind of step forward vs previous stuff like Eyetoy is unproven.

So right now, this is just talk and nothing more.  Personally, unless things change, I don't see it being a game changer to the extent being mooted here, particularly looking at all known titles so far.  They flirt with some new stuff but all are essentially derivitive and so far I see no evidence Kinect (or Move) would even exist without Wii.

For Kinect to be a bigger step for me it has to have more impact on consoles sold, the market and gaming in general than the Wii has so far, and that seems like asking too much from a seperate peripheral at this stage.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

really i am sick to death of people saying this game copied this game

come on guys games copy games all the dam time, the lastest is that no shooter can come out without being called a MW2 clone really???? when did MW2 become the birth of all FPS. you know cod fanboys MW2 copied from other games and COD it self is a off shoot of MOH in which copied other games.

really games copy off other games, if no one did we wouldn't have a game out and would be playing old Atari games.

as long as the game is good it doesn't matter. Games should improve on each other like in real life. The best invention considered in the world is sliced bread and that is just a improvement on an already existing invention of bread.

if you are one hating the fact that games are copying other games then quit gaming now because you are going to See it alot

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

I hope Kinect fail so these MS haters would shut up already.

It's been that way on this site since Sports Champions was revealed.
