On Move launch week I've only seen one commercial for it ... and that was during some Football game I think. Anyways the numbers are alright. I do believe that it will have good legs with upcoming releases like Killzone 3, Socom, Sorcery, etc.

Vgchartz should really count each controller as a sale...after all, you don't get them for free after you've bought the first one. And also, Vgchartz counts number of games/consoles sold, not number of people who have bought said item.

You don't count 4 WM in the same house as 4 different families that can buy and play a game. For companies that want to see how big the market is for Move the way the data is presented is the best.

Also, it is hard to define the Move. Some games use 2 moves controllers per player. Should we count 2 controllers as a Move or one?

Either way, the article also states how many move controllers were sold.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I wonder what Motion Plus sold first week?

That's just ridiculous. Inception really flopped, because look at how much Toy Story 3 has grossed.

I believe Move is more of the competition to the WM plus, than Inception is to Toy Story....

After all, move is sont's desparete "move"  to counter attack nintendo's succes with the Wiimote.

Move isn't an attempt to counter anything. Only somebody who is truly delusional could ever have expected that.

No, Move is an attempt to steal some of the Wii's last-minute business, lengthen the gen by changing the game experience, and prepare core players for next-gen motion control, which will probably be ubiquitous.

So... you are telling me that move is an attempt to win some costumers over the wii... but is not trying to counter the wii's success.....

Got it

Numbers aren't bad but they aren't great either, it all depends on how it does over the next few weeks and months; too early to call it either way

And WSR is the sequel to the best selling game of all time, sure the comparison is fair!

Hey.... move is WMplus competition.... I believe is fair to compare 'em. Ps3 was the "succesor" to the best selling home console of all time, and look at it now.

lol, calm down, was just a question.  Little quick on the trigger there, you couldn't even come up with a decent analogue.

That doesn't really change that you have to take the Wii Sports connection into account for the success of the WMP. Move doesn't have any chance of having that sort of backlog connection with people, and that makes a difference.

Can someone answer me this :

How many PS3 Move Bundles were sold WW ?

Er, Motion Plus launched like a month before WSR iirc.  Except in Japan.

edit: it launched with... uh, I think Virtua Tennis 2009 and Tiger Woods 09. Killer lineup there. ;)

Got it

If Sony wanted to counter the Wii, they would have done it four years ago. To counter would be to somehow damage the Wii. Move isn't going to damage the Wii in any way. A handful of people (a very small handful) may choose it over the Wii, but it will mostly be selling to existing console owners, as shown by the data: 10,000 new consoles for 120,000 Move sales.
