So.  Nintendo has always by and large a quality console and catered to their fans first with their software offerings.  And I see SONY has taken a page from Nintendo's book to strive to do the same from gen to gen wwith their software.  That's why I see SONY being successful as a 3rd place console after seeing where Nintendo has come from.  And neither has the money as Microsoft to "piss away.

Maybe this post makes sense in your head, but I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

Ooooo...  What a come back.  You talk about SONY pissing away money, then you talk about Microsoft spending a lot of money to establish themselves while SONY has to do it to maintain the PlayStation name.  But someone else as well as myself have made valid points that it's not the money you have, the money you spend, and what "place" you're at to make your product viable because of both Nintendo and SONY successes.  Yeah, you started this, and it obviously didn't fall in your favor so you play this "I dunno know what ya talkin about" crap.  Keep telling yourself these thing if it really makes gaming more enjoyable because it doesn't seem that gaming it doing that job for you.

Uh, but the first two months only the $300 360 S was available?  The 4GB didn't release until August...

Excellent post, funny how most of the posters aren't addressing it.

eh the PS3 is alot better in my opinion but that doesn't mean I don't respect the 360 and its library same as Wii its just the PS3 has what I want. And congrats to 360 selling like hot cakes but kudos to both Nintendo and Sony. Nintendo for being in number one with a lacking 3rd party but strong first party library. As for Sony, they released great hardware and have both a strong first and third library.

BTW I have owned all three consoles at one time...got rid of my 360 for my PS3 and then bought a Wii and later got rid of that and now I regret that.

I am no good at grammar =)

DAMN IT! This EP is such a good idea

Haha! That wasn't a comeback. I really didn't understand what you were saying. Perhaps I was condescending.

Honestly, I still don't know what you're babbling about.

Anyhow, I think you understand why I consider the PS3 a failure. Feel free to enjoy it. I've enjoyed financial failures before. They're fun all the same.

I think he might be referring to when the old models got put on clearance, if not then I wouldn't have a clue.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

People will argue the discounted consoles account for a large number of the sales. But those appear to be gone now.

I dunno what's responsible for the great 360 sales. But clearly there is a demand for it and that can't be ignored.

What he is saying is this:

"When is the last time you saw a 3rd place console have the best (arguably) best overall 1st party, 2nd party as well as 3rd party support that SONY has this generation?"

Too many people look at sale yet SONY is killing it when it comes to the thing that matters most for people like us, which is games. No denying that they DELIVER!

You can say that Nintendo has great 1st party support, but their 3rd party is lacking.

You can say MS has great 3rd party support, but compared to SONY their 1st party is severely lacking.

SONY is the only one of the big three that is lacking in none of the 3 categories.

In conclusion, who cares about stupid shit like sales when you are provided with an exorbitant amount of quality titles? Nobody cares that SONY sells less than MS or Nintendo, or that their overall sales are less at this point in time than PS1 or PS2. The only thing REAL GAMERS care about are the games, and once again SONY delivers in spades.

That is all any self respecting gamer should care about.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Thank you for turning that into something more intelligible.

Well I suppose that's all a matter of opinion. I mean I love Gears, Halo, Mass Effect, Fable, and many other exclusives that have been on the 360. Granted some are on the PC, but I'm sure as hell not playing them on a PS3. They are quite possibly some of the greatest games I've ever played. But I'm not obnoxious enough to tout the 360 for having the greatest library ever. People have different taste. With that said, not everyone is impressed by or cares about what Sony offers.

Anyhow, I'm not quite sure why this came up. People should enjoy it regardless how its doing financially. But the PS3 is deep in the red, so calling it a success is absurd in my opinion. But hey? That's just my opinion.
