With goldeneye coming.... i would have done the same xD

I think they made a smart decision.  With the competition so tuff this holiday it would have been difficult to do well.  I had already decided to buy Goldeneye 007 instead of Conduit 2 since they were releasing so close together.  Now, if I have the money, I might buy Conduit 2.

Grinder better not be delayed!

Halloween 2011 not far enoguh already?

Well, that makes my choice for Wii FPS to get this year a lot easier.

GoldenEye 007 it is!

Sorry Black Ops, but come back when you deliver the 4 player splitscreen goods. >:(

I wish I could be more exicted about 4 player splitscreen. Don't really have friends around that could help me take advantage of it like when I was younger. So online works best. Now if all the modes from local multiplayer in GoldenEye can be used online that would be great.

"Looks like Goldeneye and Black Ops scared them away."

This.

MY ZELDA COLLECTION

I hope this means extra polish

Looks they are shooting themselves in the foot! HAR HAR HAR!

I've caught myself giving into hype again when it comes to GoldenEye and Black Ops. This is something I've been trying my best not to give into in recent months. Over the past few days I've really been thinking about the games I really want to buy while keeping within the budget I set for myself, epsecially if the Nintendo 3DS has a chance of coming out this year. Some things won't be bought in favor of that. In the end Conduit 2 ended up on top over Black Ops and GE whe I look at FPS games. Mainly because I happen to like the story of the first game, it's a true Wii exclusive series, and my overall feeling regarding it after watching interviews, footage, and reading up on it is just more positive.

I'm not crazy about military shooters and in the end I actually sold my copy of Modern Warfare Reflex after enjoying it for a time. I'll be honest I got it becuase of hype and while it did live up to the hype I felt it wasn't really a must buy for me at the time. Black Ops Wii while it might be good the clear effort and attention is on the HD versions. Understandable but with no information at the moment I don't see a reason to really actively look forward to it. I do still have Medal of Honor Heroes 2 and still play that from time to time. I never tried the online though for it.

GoldeneEye has started to worry me and with all the focus being on local mulitplayer and the look of the game concerning me I think I might take a pass. I loved the GoldenEye movie (was the first Bond film I ever saw actually) and I had a lot of fun with the original GE game. Mainly due to the local multiplayer. However local play is no longer something I can really do. If I want to play with others I have to play online. So one of the major selling points for the game will be worthless to me in the end I think. Granted the online might be just as important but really I've heard nothing about it. It's not even certain all the modifers that will make the local mulitplayer fun will even be apart of the online play.

I've actually gone and canceled both pre-orders I had for the games. Conduit 2 is still in my Amazon.com shopping cart but I think I might move that to a pre-order soon. It won't be coming out for a while now as we all know. I think looking back the actual honest effort HVS put into the first Conduit (sure wasn't the most unique but I still enjoyed it and still have my copy) makes me feel better about getting the second one. I still fear that Sega won't push the game like they should. If it does at least well by the standard HVS sets that will be okay.

Here's hoping they take the extra time to really lock down the multiplayer to stop cheaters and polish things up. Maybe increase the number of maps, etc.
