Final Fantasy Versus XIII might miss 2011

Final Fantasy Versus XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase has said during Gamescom that Square Enix “cannot commit” themselves to a 2011 release date on the upcoming PlayStation 3 RPG.

When GamingUnion asked Kitase whether or not we’d see the RPG by 2011, he responded:

“We have no release date information to update. Unfortunately we can’t say anything about that. We can’t commit ourselves to 2011 either.”

Of course, he could only be saying this for company reasons. Final Fantasy XIII’s release date was surely a shock – December last year in Japan. Perhaps they’re planning the same for Versus XIII? Or perhaps I’m just being too optimistic?

I think FF Versus XIII is just a secret code for FFVII....

FF v. XIII (shorten the words to just their first letter)

You basically consider X as crossing out a letter (in this case an "I")

FFVII = Final fantasy VII

If someone told me it might be released in 2011 instead of 2012, I would be surprised. Now I'm only surprised because someone really expected it to be released in 2011.

Anyway, about that remake... They've really made Cloud look badass.
