Hello everyone I just got to say I HATE this game ... it makes me want to kill kitties :P

No in all seriousness I didn't like the game at all ( Off course note this is my personal opinion)

Although I was happy that vanille ... dammit shouldn't say it kinda spoilers but I hate her so ...

I always considered myself a sort of FF fanboy but recently after FF XII and XIII I am ashamed I wonder if its because I have became older now than I was before ?

Well I will still get FF vXIII but it better be the total opposite of FFXIII (here goes to wishful thinking ).

On a side note if you voted that you liked FF XIII a lot, I would like to know how old you are ? Not to poke or make fun of ,its just to determine if it is a age thing its kinda like when I played FF VIII at the age of 15 I hated the game like there was no tomorrow and didn't even finish it but for some reason decide to play it at 18, and got to say it I actually liked it and play thought the whole thing.

So I am just curious to know if anyone else has had this experience :P

I'm 22 and I liked 13... I was err, 11 or 12 when I got 8 and I loved that too.B
But I've loved all the final fantasy's I've beaten (I've beat 4-13) besides 4,11(I guess I didn't beat it),12.

But age I would imagine is a thing that factors into all tastes. I used to think star wars was the best thing on the planet. And now I like it. And my tastes have changed do to age/other things. And now I like blade runner and crouching tiger more.

well like i said before, and this goes for everyone. If you enjoy ff13 a lot, you have my most sincere condolences.  :)

Fantastic Game but not my fav FF.

9.8

The game confirmed that I'm so over JRPGs.

My website: Precocious Ragamuffin

Hrm... I'd not use this game to determine if you're over JRPGs, really. The best way to do that is to step away from the mainstream games (ala FF, DQ, Tales, etc), and try a niche release one. I'd suggest one of the ones from Atlus or Nippon-Ichi (NIS), as they are different enough while maintaining just enough feeling to make me love them. I'll say that if I used FF as my gauge for stopping JRPGs, I'dve given up on the genre after FFX.

wors rpg i ever played. well its the first jrpg i ever played. i only play wrpgs elder scrolls, dragon age origins..... the story was boring, the gameplay was bad, and the characters were gay, i hated it!

after 2 hours i gave up

You didn't even beat the tutorial and couldn't experience the true battle system

1/3 of the game is a tutorial. He didn't miss much. Kinda

Real game starts when you get your crystarium and can use paradigms at the beginning of the 3rd chapter which happens around the 3 hour mark.

Took me 50 hours to finish the game, so the tutorial covers around 6% of the game, 10% at most.

Wrong, the tutorial ends at the start of Gran Pulse. Lets say about 25 hours on average about half the game, so lets be fair here. Now once on Gran Pulse, you have the option of doing side-quests, and leveling up your crystarium. And if you're hardcore you'll complete all your ultimate weapons by farming gil and that ridiculous rare drop item to upgrade weapons. Maybe 30-40hrs on that? So, do you see what I'm coming with here?

looool the tutorial has ended loooong before that. Just because you get some tips at the beginning of the chapter doesn't mean the 20 hours before that are tutorials....

Everything important you need to know to play the game happens during chapters 1-3.

Only new thing you can do at Grand Pulse is doing the side quest. Everything else was already available 20 hours earlier.

The tutorial ends on Pulse. It's the first time you have complete access to all of the games systems. You know things like determining who your party is.

Just another gameplay variety.

Like every FPS that introduces a new weapon the further you go in the story. Or every new area that gets unlocked in sandbox games like GTA.
