This is why I shop where I shop (small store in a mall, and a retro store on Spadina). No one bothers asking me for extended warranty, explaining to me what that is, and other things.

Rarely do I go to Ebgames, or other stores.

but he laters says:

"I think it’s important that you understand something here dear reader, this is not my first Xbox 360 purchase. It’s not even my second, or third. It was in fact my fourth purchase of an Xbox 360 console. All previous 360′s I have owned fell to the dreaded RROD."

I stopped reading after that. A troll story is a troll story.

Not sure if this guy's concept of time is accurate, either.  He waited for 20 minutes while people in front of him decided on store credit?  He stood at the register for 10 minutes waiting the second time?  I've been to Gamestop on Christmas Eve. I can't walk into a Gamestop without somebody saying "Hey, welcome to Gamestop!", asking me if "Are you finding everything okay?", or something.  I'm not a big fan of Gamestop but I buy a lot of games there and it's not as bad as he makes it out to be.  Besides, is there ANYBODY here that buys a console without doing a little research?  People in retail are just there to print out your receipt as they take your money.  I don't ask them anything I don't already know the answer to.

*edit* And did he say twenty minutes as they decided whether or not they would take $35 store credit for their trade in?  WTF were their options?  Get the $35, keep their game, or choose the item behind the mystery curtain?  The story may be true (but I doubt it) but there's definitely some exaggeration going on, here.

I also found that pretty strange.

I have yet to buy games from them, so I can't comment on this, until I experience it myself...

Oh, my console broke!

I shall reward this incompetence on the part of Microsoft by buying another Xbox 360! For the fourth time!

The more that break, the more sales they'll get. This shall surely encourage them to increase their build quality!

What store in what mall?  I heard of that retro store on Spadina where is it exactly?

The store is Gameshack, only because I know the people in that store. It is in the mall at Bay at the Atrium. 

The retro store is called A&C games, it is located on Spadina, just south of Bloor. 

I love Gameshack, I get random gems from there!  Yeah I know the name of A & C, just never knew where it was on Spadina and south of Bloor eh... bit far from my usual runs downtown, is it ZOMG amazing there?
