Dragon Quest IX is at 132,000 units. GUess that it's a bit undetracking here, also this game get this number without any FF demo.

I was in the mood to do some excel tables so here are a couple in case anybody is interested.

Well as much as we as like to make fun of Pachter's predictions, at least this month anyway he seems to have done a pretty good job lining up with NPD.

Actually if anything, this month and last months NPD numbers indicate that sales have significantly picked up because of increased stock. Look at May NPD the month that RDR came, only 155k. Whereas now in the middle of the summer slump with no significant software releases and facing stiff competition HW is up almost 40% compared to May. If anything this shows that the biggest thing holding PS3 back for the first 5 months of the year was supply problems.

PS3 undertracked again according to this month NPD and the last NPD month aswell why wern't you saying the same thing when ps3 was undertracked last month?

Wow, I'm amazed at the 360 sales for the month.  I knew they would be high but that sky rocketed what I was thinking.

Nice job for the PS3 as well.  Looks like it may be a dog fight for the HD twins over the Wii from here on out (or at least I hope so).

The Wii is continuing to slip farther behind.  I honestly expect a price cut before the holidays to put them back on top.  And then depending on how well the Move and Kinect does that may not be enough.  

Lastly, I think that a lot of people may be purchasing a 360 just to get ready for when the Kinect launches so it won't be such a big smack to the old check book.  If Kinect gets the kind of free press that the Wii did at first I have no doubts it will reign supreme this Christmas time pushing much needed sales for the 360.  

My predictions for Christmas time sales.

1) Xbox 360   2) Wii (only if it has a decent price cut) 3) PS3.

My hopes for Christmas time sales.  1) Xbox 360 2) PS3  3) Wii.

I don't count the DS because its handheld....
