Forums - Nintendo - Ubisoft Announces Another Just Dance Game

I think Just Dance opened the flood gate for mediocre dance games. There are like 10 dance games coming in the next year or so.

Ubisoft might as well cash out before other developers rape the genre for everything its worth.

I knew as soon as the first Just Dance game became a hit that Ubisoft would quickly proceed to start milking it to death. And when the sequels don't sell as well, they will probably get angry with the Wii audience as usual.

WTF. Was Just Dance somehow too mature for teh kiddiez?

Ubi started with a game that had the broad general appeal that few franchises outside of Nintendo's portfolio can manage, and now their demographic-targeting marketing drones are going to chop that up and throw one chunk at each member of the family in the hopes that each household will have six different versions of Just Dance.

Result: Each household will have one copy of Just Dance. The one Ubisoft released last year.

Soooo stupid!

Ubisoft create a mediocre game known as Just Dance, it surpasses 3m copies in sales. They realise that it was a hit and expand the franchise and release Dance on Broadway which turns out to be utter crap, they soon hope Just Dance 2 and Michael Jackson: The Videogame can be as successful as the original Just Dance. But without realising the consequences decide to announce a Just Dance Kids. The most logical thing to do would be to release a Just Dance Channel that allows you to download songs, this would save time for everyone, including Ubisoft's time.

not for me...

In the period of 12 months Ubisoft will have released 4 dance games. That's one dance game every 3 months from one single company. If this one also releases around the same time as Just Dance 2, then  it'll be 5 dance games.

Nintendo could u please just take my money and give me back my 3DS?!

I plan to get the original when I can find it for $20.

The kids version looks too childish for my soon to be 8-year-old son.

Hard to believe fact -- Ubisoft has close to 70  releases on the Wii -- with another half a dozen on the way.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
