Three big games on the same day, five big games in the same month with two of them being sequels to one of the most popular franchises? Gran Turismo 5 is probably one of the most anticipated games this gen, Call of Duty: Black Ops is the sequel to the best selling HD games this gen.

Say what you want, even if all the games (except for GT5 and NfS) are in different genres, people are interested in more than just one genre but have only so much money to spend on games. I'd say most people don't buy more than one game a month, let alone two. Then there's people that buy every game they want, and that's this site's users. But the average consumer can't afford that.

That said, I'll probably be getting Assassin's Creed in November or December, GT5 when it drops to 20€-30€, and finally LBP2 when it's around 20€. Should be Q1 next year unless GT5 manages tremendous sales (which it should).

To me, LBP felt a little lifeless and generic.  I can't deny it was a good game but I won't be back for the sequel.  Then again, there isn't a single game on that list that I'm hyped for.  I guess I've grown out of touch.

As far as everyone else goes I have no idea but as for as I go L.B.P.2 I will buy by the end of 2010 and it may win my G.O.T.Y 2010. It has to beat out some great Nintendo games since I am a Nintendo fan but hey LittleBigPlanet won my G.O.T.Y 2008 when before I even know what the full 2008 lineup was I thought Brawl would win hands down! All in all I think it will do fine.

It will be launched during holiday season, it probably has a massive fan folowing by now, and all the other games are from diufferent genres. AC and CoD where always launched together, and NFS is a more arcady racer while GT5... well its GT5 I dont see it as a bad time to launch it, especially for a game that has some enormous legs. Hell even the PSP version prooved it for a second time in a row

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

LBP doesn't fear other game. Other games fear LBP.

Generic in what way?

I don't think I've played anything quite like it.
